I recently was injured and someone broke my nose, gave me a concussion, bruising etc. I asked Gemini AI to give me a list of vitamins and minerals and supplements that would help my body heal. It was a great list by the way. I started to review the list and search for vegan versions of the vitamins I needed. The biggest challenge was figuring out which were USA made and which were Chinese / China companies. I'll buy other things from China but I'm not comfortable taking vitamins from random Chinese companies for valid reasons. I found many Omega 3 supps that were vegan. So I had to read reviews and ingredients and try to figure out which was the best. There were dramatic differences. In the end I found Sports Research Vegan Omega-3, Vegan Omega 3 Supplement by Vegetology and Nordic Naturals Plant Based Ultimate Omega, Lemon Flavor - 60seemed to be among the top recommended on Reddit and had better reviews and ingredients. The EPA and DHA of Sports Research appeared to be the highest of all. If I have to swallow vitamins, I want the best available and the most powerful. I'm happy to see that Sunflower Seed Oil was removed from this product and no Carrageenan. Carrageenan. This plus the no cruelty, vegan and high EPA and DHA pushed me to buy it. I don't taste anything fishy at all. I have a slightly teeny tiny inaudible burp but it's fine. I'm going to try it for a month and see how I look and feel.

I really like this product overall — the vegan omega-3 capsules seem high quality, easy to swallow, and I appreciate that they are algae-based rather than fish-derived. One suggestion for improvement: the capsules have a noticeable citrus smell (likely from limonene or another citrus-derived compound). The scent itself is pleasant, but it would be helpful if this were either avoided in the formulation or clearly mentioned on the packaging/ingredient description. Some people with sensitivities, allergies, or autoimmune conditions try to avoid fragrance-type additives even if they are natural. Knowing about the citrus component beforehand would help customers make an informed choice. Otherwise, the product quality appears excellent, and I appreciate the effort to provide a clean vegan omega-3 option. Adding a note about the citrus scent — or offering a fragrance-free version — would make it even better.

These capsules are easy to swallow and have a lovely lemon scent. No fishey after taste or reflux. Easy to take every day. Highly recommend!

I definitely feel my heart has been in better shape after a month of taking these, almost never have pressure on my chest now. Ill keep taking these for the foreseeable future. They're effective, easy to take and they smell good like lemon.

As a vegetarian for over 35 years, I've recently found I can't take capsules made with cellulose (or use cellulose as a filler) without an attack of a rare condition of constant chain belching for hours, very bad nasal swelling, and sometimes shortness of breath as well. That's odd since vegetarians can eat vegetables that have cellulose with no problem. So it occurred to me that it must be the SOURCE of the cellulose that must be the culprit! Finally, I looked up the sources of cellulose caps online. Verdict? One source said "pine or poplar trees" another said "pine or spruce". Regardless, I can't take any supps unless they're made with gelatin (yep, sad for a vegetarian) or some other non-cellulose caps like tapioca starch or pullulan. That leaves me with the very painful job of tossing out all my cellulose filled or capped supplements and find the rarer non-cellulose equivalents. In this case, I was looking for an Algae Oil based Omega 3 with NO carrageenan and NO cellulose! There is only one other Algae Oil, NO carrageenan product that I could find, BUT it has a cellulose cap. I have some of those but have to cut them open with a pair of scissors and squeeze the highly flavored oil in them onto my food to get them down. Not only does it not taste good, some of the oil is lost by not being able to get it all out of the cap. Imagine the relief when the Sports Research brand of Algae Oil Omega-3 was found to fit my health needs perfectly with no carrageenan and no cellulose! And what's even better, it's a vegetarian cap (tapioca starch not gelatin)! While it has a little less DHA as the other brand I was using, it has way more EPA. So not a lesser product in that respect!" I'm almost panting, I'm so happy to have found something that saves me at least on this one supplement! I'm hoping that Sports Research will expand their supplement line using the same type of capsules.
