The handle is designed for comfort during use. A laser produces a single line of light that offers versatile scanning at a speed of up to 270 scans per second from up to 18 inches away while in continuous mode and can scan high-density barcodes as small as 3 mil. The trigger can be programmed to be always on or to activate the laser automatically when a barcode is placed within range of the device. An LED and an audible signal indicate the status of a scan.
