i measured 55 inches from base to plug. i personally will use an extension cord in order to reach the proper outlet in my bedroom

Is this lamp dangerous as other reviewers claimed - buzzing sound, hot electrical cord when turned on, etc? Can it work with the Hue lamp as well?

I have used this lamp now for quite some time now and have had absolutely no problems. We use it in an area where we have it on for at least 5 hours each evening and I am very happy with it.
