Makes a safe house while saving electricity bill - very satisfied.
Recently I purchased a set of these lights (they come in 3-pack) with a fairly reasonable price. I wanted something that I can put at places like stair case, near the doors where I need light for sometime to lock or unlock or places in house where I need light only for a short while so I can get into a room and switch on my normal lights - basically, I needed my house to be safe for people so they don't bump into things because all the lights are off. By having all the lights off, I save electricity and by having these sensor lights, I ensure that the house is safe from accidents and people can switch on lights as required if it is required to stay on for longer time. While researching, I found this product to be an exact fit because it comes with two sensors - first the light sensor that turns the light on only when it's dark enough and second, the motion sensor that ensures that the light is not always on when it's dark but turns on only when someone is around or a motion is detected in dark. The idea is excellent. During research I found that, there are many solutions with the existing wiring in the house but all of them are way too expensive and lack the freedom of putting anywhere you want to lace them. This product, I found to be cheap, yet smart enough for my needs. So, I bought a pack of 3 and tried it out. Unfortunately, one of them worked as expected but two of them remained on once it detected motion in darkness and didn't switch off. Since it was so cheap, I didn't bother complaining. But the Amir sales people contacted me proactively to find out how their product was doing and I mentioned them about these defective one's. To y surprise, they sent another 3-pack completely free! That is incredible. They didn't even bother to ask me to return the defective one's. That I call good customer support! But, the products do work excellent. I have tested it now more thoroughly. I highly recommend this product to anyone with similar needs. In mind, I think this must be a very popular need. Who doesn't want to save electricity, cost associated with it and make the house safe. I have two suggestions for the makers of this products: 1. The magnet is very weak. Needs to be stronger for people who want to use the magnet to attach lights to someplace. Also, do a more thorough quality check on the sensors. 2. Provide an option to buy a battery charger that is reasonably priced and if the charger can charge different types of batteries - all the better. This can be a separate product that can be sold in conjunction with this and a discount be given if they are both bought together. From a business perspective, this is a sale-up and from a customer perspective, if reasonable discount is given - it's a win-win. Other than that, needless to say, I'm one satisfied customer and recommend the product highly to others with similar needs.

Great little lights - provide nice temporary lighting. Also will work for your safe, with a simple modification.
Great little lights! Certainly good for the price. The installation options - magnet, or 3M adhesives - make them very flexible. I use these in an older home where my ceiling fans are on a single switch - I like leaving the fans on with lights off when not in the room, so these lights provide the necessary lighting when just passing through one of the dark rooms or when you need to enter and find the pull chain to turn on the main lights.I have one of these mounted to the ceiling fan housing - the fan blades do not activate the light's motion sensor. Another is used in an entry room which is normally dark - light works great for the short time needed to make the entry safe. As a special note, the light sensor can be neutralized so these lights can be used together to provide interior lighting for a gun safe if you don't have the option of an electrical outlet in your safe. Thankfully, a few other reviewers mentioned canceling the light sensors - one wrote about cutting wires, another wrote about using black tape to cover the internal sensor. I wouldn't cut any wires. I recommend using black, electrical tape to fully cover the small sensor. You will need to open the back, as if doing so to install the batteries. At this point, you will see three small screws; remove the screws to access the circuit board with the sensors. The motion sensor is the large dome in the center; off to the side of the dome, you will see a small clear, square component - this is the light sensor. You will need to cover it completely - I suggest two small pieces of the tape, applied to make a + over the sensor and sticking to the circuit board on all four sides of the sensor. Once the tape is secured, replace the cover without replacing the screws; install the batteries to test it. The light will come on when the third battery is installed. Allow the light to go out. Have the unit in a lighted area, then make a motion near the unit. If the light activates, you are good to go. If not, check to make sure you have covered the light sensor. Once it is verified to work in a lighted area, complete the replacement of the cover with the screws. Now you are ready to install the lights in your safe, or other cabinet. If you have a large safe with an electrical outlet, I recommend you purchase a Torchlight LED lighting system. They are available via Amazon and work fantastic!

Light sensor workaround
These, like other similar wireless LED lights, had one big flaw that made them useless for me. (And I think for some other people as well.) They are fine in total darkness, but if you want them to light up a dim, but not totally dark area, they won't turn on because of the light sensor. That makes them not only useless as an auxiliary light source, but also when grouped -- since if one is on the light sensor of the other(s) prevents them from turning on. SOLUTION: Remove the light sensor. Please see the photos attached. Not actually that hard to do if you're careful and don't mind that it probably invalidates the warranty since you are essentially breaking part of it. Also be sure that's what you want -- it really will go on every time is senses motion, so be sure it's inside a closet or other place where just passing by in the distance won't set it off. Photo 1: with the back plate removed to access the batteries, there are three small Phillips screws. Remove those and carefully (there are wires) separate the back section which holds the batteries and circuits from the front section which is the case and diffuser. Photo 2: On the circuit board you will see two sensors. The larger one is the motion sensor so leave that alone. (the dome cover may fall off, don't worry, it goes back on fine) the smaller sensor, seen here in the grip of the pliers, is the light sensor. Carefully so as not to damage the rest of the board, but with some force because it's on a couple solid wires, just break off the light sensor. Then just put everything back together. Now you have a light that is motion sensitive but not light sensitive. Again, note that this will need to go somewhere that it won't be constantly going on every time you pass unless that's what you want. It works great for me inside a closet that has a door, and in an under stairs storage area that also has a door. ALTERNATE SOLUTION: If you want brighter light and don't mind spending considerably more, this Mr. Beams light is actually designed to allow you to easily defeat the light sensor. It's also really bright -- I got one just today and love it so far! https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Beams-MB990-WHT-02-00-Wireless-Battery/dp/B01IKQDKAM

Great nightlights for a bathroom or under cabinet
I purchased these so I could stick them on the wall next toilets, allowing me to use the bathroom in the middle of the night without blasting my eyes out by turning on the main lights. For this purpose they work very well. 1. The light from these is warm white, which is good for night time 2. They are dim enough that they don't shock you much but bright enough that you can see clearly if your eyes are adjusted to darkness 3. The motion detecting works well 4. Super easy to stick on the wall and a good form factor. For my particular purpose, I probably don't need as much light as they provide. I'll probably put a little cover or gel on them. The other issue I have with them is that the light turns off pretty quickly if you don't keep moving in front of it. My preference would be that they stay on for like a minute or something. I think it's more like 15 seconds. Still, these work well for me and were very cost-effective. I'd recommend them for closets, bathrooms, and under counters. They are great at night. If you want a bright light (for daytime use), then you should look elsewhere.

They work but …
They work as advertised however just like everyone else is saying. There is a light sensor inside the unit so it will only turn on in pitch black dark so if there’s any light in a room this unit will not turn on. however it’s not bright enough to do anything when it’s pitch black. I did like everyone else and took the two or three screws out of the back of the unit. You then find the sensor as seen in the photo with the little screwdriver pointing to it. Cover that sensor with black electrical tape, and put it all back together. This way it’ll work in any lighted condition. We want to use this in a closet and a pantry. They would not work with the ambient light of the room when you opened up the door. This simple fix, fixed the problem. If using multiple ones together in the same closet one of them would activate throwing enough light to make it so the other two do not turn on because it thinks it’s bright enough. When you put the black electrical tape over the sensor all three of them will light up upon motion and shut off when there is no motion. The light is bright but not super bright. We’re using it in our camper pantry so as soon as the doors open all three of them light up the three sections of the pantry. As far as adhesion. There is some two-sided tape on the back of a metal plate that barely holds the unit up. Then there is a magnet inside the unit itself that sticks to the metal plate. Again barely holding anything up. It’s a weak magnet . In the RV any bumps that you go over will cause these things to fall to the ground. A simple solution is taking it apart again and physically mounting the case using a wood screw to the area where you want it to stay. Then the lighted unit screws back on and it is a permanent fix. For nine dollars I’m sure it is very overpriced for how much they cost to make however they will work well for the purpose that we purchased them for.

Best automatic cordless motion sensor lights I have found
Have just bought a 3-pack for 4th time in a couple of years - for our house and daughters house. These work well, have not had a failure despite knocking a few onto concrete or hardwood floor brushing past magnetic mounted ones. Good for illuminating walkways in garage or storage room or such where you do not want to turn room lights on just to make a quick entry to grab something, or where room lighting is blocked. Also nice as a night light in halls or bathrooms - turning on only when you enter the room, and not so bright they blast your night-adjusted eyes. On stairs - work OK but motion sensor only picks you up about 5 feet away and only in front of it, so if there are more than about 5-6 steps you may need one at top and bottom to illuminate before you hit the first step. The strip type stair lights by same company work best for that - tuck out of the way better, and better stair lighting as these round ones have to be facing up-down stairs (not mound on wall along stairs) to illuminate stairs. Note if using double stick tape or screws you have to hold the base REALY well to avoid twisting it off the wall when you twist it open to change batteries - does not come apart easily.

These Work Great!!
UPDATE: The seller contacted me and told me they were sorry for the one that was not working. They offered me a refund for the one and told me to throw the defective one out. I did change this to a 5 star since the seller does have GREAT customer service! My refund has gone through and I will be ordering more of these again! OK at first I was a bit skeptical about these lights thinking for the price they probably won't be that great, was I ever wrong! These little babies can detect motion from about 10 feet away and turn themselves on. The light they give off is incredibly bright considering they are only 6 leds. After they turn on they will shut off after about 1 minute with no motion in the room so they are great for a bathroom night light but you may have to move a few times if your there for a bit. We love how great they work that we ordered a second box. However sadly one in that box doesn't work. I have contacted the seller so I am waiting to see what they can do since the first two out of the box worked fine and were mounted before we found out the last one didn't work. I will update this if and when I hear from the seller and will update my rating accordingly.

Product performs as stated which is a fantastic motion sensor battery powered LED light
Product performs as stated which is a fantastic motion sensor battery powered LED light! To my surprise, the LED's are quite bright and the motion sensor very sensitive. I was able to trigger the motion sensor from nine feet away. Being that the lights are LED, the batteries last a long time and the intensity of the light doesn't fade as the batteries lose power. The built in magnets and included 3M double sided tape make it very easy to stick the lights to almost any surface and since the light twists off of the backing it is very simple to access and change the batteries! Another awesome feature is that the light will only activate in low/no light situations. As far as the rating goes, I rated this product 4 stars as I feel it could have a couple of improvements... there's always room for improvement. In a future model I feel that two added features would make this product go a very long way. First, I would like to easily be able to adjust the duration the light is on. As is, if there isn't continuous motion the light turns off after 20 seconds until the sensor picks up more motion. I would like to be able to extend this time up to a minute or longer. Second, I would like to adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor. As is, the motion sensor picks up movement up to nine feet away and while the sensitivity is nice in some situations, I would like to limit the sensitivity if need be. Other than that, I feel the functionality, reliability and quality of the product is excellent! I originally bought this product as a light source for a litter cabinet I built for my wife's and my two cats. When the cats enter the litter cabinet, the lights automatically turn on & off providing more than ample light for the felines to do their business. For this, the lights work very well and I would imagine that they would work well for any reason you would need to light an area with occasional nighttime traffic. I feel everyone could find a use for this product and most certainly feel it was a good buy!

I like these little lights
I like these little lights. You can stick them anywhere you want supplemental (white) light when dark AND motion is detected. I have one stuck inside our pantry and one placed outside our guest bathroom door to add a little light to dark places. I've also added one above our front door to illuminate the lock so it's easier to find the keyhole at night. These lights work great and appear to be durable (especially since I've already dropped one while trying to mount it).
