THAT Butter Knife, Heat Transfer, Copper Alloy Titanium Treatment, 6.9 inches (17.6 cm), Spread

A better butter knife based on inventive technology? There is such a thing. Its looks dull but it actually seems to be working, making it a little easier to butter your bread. It feels good to hold, and is a great gift.

I was dubious about this product ---and rightfully so. The product doesn't work. There is no way to get enough heat transfer from your hand to soften the butter at a reasonable rate. So I tried running it under hot water prior to use. Results were about the same. Unfortunately, this product just does not do what is claimed. It will cut butter though -- but only as well as any other knife.

Some of the other reviews are pretty funny. In that people thought this knife would get hot or something. It's not like most peoples hands give off that much heat. I think this works great, it's the grooves are what help melt and smooth out the butter or whatever spread you like. It also has a great weight to it - burly little knife. My only complaint is $20 seems a little high.

Great for butter cuts really nice on cold butter

I was really hopeful this would work as described but am let down. It works ok but not amazing. I wouldn't buy this again.

I’m going to give it 5 stars because of what it does not for what I imagined it would do. Expectation was that this gem would have an on button, heat up and I’d have warm butter like when you have a dab sliding down a stack of pancakes. WRONG! I got a piece of white bread, a plate of refrigerated butter, a butter knife and this bad boy. I buttered half with a regular butter knife and half with THAT!. What I found was that this does take the butter and slide it on the bread as intended. 1) you can cut the butter off thinner 2) easier to spread because butter is thin. The butter knife did...well you know, that’s why you are looking for an alternative. I don’t think they have cracked the code for the price but I won’t return mine.

Doesn’t work

This knife is a joke. It works for the first 2 passes over the cold butter and then it actually does the exact opposite. Instead of transferring your heat from your hand to the kife to the butter, it actually transfers the cold temperature from the butter to your hand. Your hand gets cold and the knife is no good. Have to say the idea was nice but it doesnt work. The product in it self was very nice and good quality. Wished it would work.

Very impressed with this butter knife. It does what it’s designed to do and now I don’t have to struggle with spreading cold butter onto my bread.

Francamente bien. Tenía dudas por los comentarios que había leído en amazon. Pero funciona estupendamente, al menos si eres de manos calientes. Ahora se puede untar mantequilla recién sacada de la nevera en vez de partirla con un cuchillo como hacía antes. Quiero añadir que no es para cortar la mantequilla, es para untarla. Lo recomiendo sin duda
