Genesis 20" Box Fan, 3 Settings, Max Cooling Technology, Carry Handle, White (G20BOX-WHT)

First impressions, and will update later with any changes. Shipping box (manufacturer's original) is sufficient protection for city, semi-rural delivery. The fan is made of high impact plastic that appears to be high quality from an injection mold or maybe even 3D printed. That's a plus in my experience to reduce possibility of rust, corrosion, and produces less noise from metal vibration. The appearance is very contemporary and aesthetically attractive, with thought behind the construction - there are two 'pockets' in the back to store a wound cord and the feet swivel into place to support the fan while standing. The power knob on the front makes it easy to adjust if using in a window (facing in, pulling in outside air) with the sash or blinds pulled down to the top of the fan. The blades are shaped differently from my other box fans (those are rather like flower petals), which resemble the propeller on a plane. It's quieter than I thought it would be from other review comments, and the air output and movement is very, very good. The grill on back and front looks like it will be easy to clean with a smaller bottle brush. I live in an area that gets triple digit heat in the spring and summer, so if this has a lifespan of 2-3yrs like my other box fans I'll be incredibly pleased for the price paid. Props to the manufacturer and seller!

Nice quality and moves a lot of air. This fan is advertised as quiet, however it is not very quiet. I use it in the garage so noise is not an issue. Works great for me.

Quite light. Works well. Great price. Used it to make a Corsi-Rosenthal box. Not super quiet but quite acceptable for my purposes.

Much more powerful than I expected. I actually thought it was on high when it was only on low, and only realized after adjusting the speed settings. It is a little on the louder side, but that’s not an issue for me. The adjustable plastic legs make it easy to fit wherever I need it, and it has a clean, minimalist look that works well in most rooms. I only wish there was a handle on the top.

Love this! 3 speed, 2 is more air than speed 3 on other box fans. Fully assembled. Lightweight. Has two stabilizer legs on the bottom that you need to turn to provide good stability for high air flow (arrows show direction). Loud (for people who use it for white noise & cooling during sleep). Excellent value for money. I will absolutely purchase another one. I use this fan for sleep and it's perfect!! I'm a hot sleeper who needs the noise of a fan to sleep, so I was looking for one that had high air flow and loud but smooth sound; most box fans these days are too quiet, so it's tricky to find one I like. It has 3 speeds, and I've only had to use 3 once. Speed 2 moves more air than my last box fan (that was higher air & sound than the 2 I'd tried before that, so I almost bought that one again but decided to take a risk on this one based on reviews, and I'm glad I did!!) If you're looking for a quiet fan, this isn't for you. It has a smooth sound, but it is loud- it drowns out any background sound like city traffic. It moves a ton of air on both 2 & 3, great for cooling down a room or sleeping in a wind tunnel ;)

Got this to build my own air filter. It’s light, works well and is very quiet. Good choice for a simple box fan

It is a basic box fan. Moves a good amount of air and it stable (won't fall over). However, this thing is LOUD. I thought maybe the fan blades were on backwards or something. Compared to other box fans this thing sounds like a jet engine. Good choice for when noise is not an issue.... Not good if you are using it in a bedroom

I am totally satisfied with the Genesis 20" Box Fan. Easy to work. Good Quality. What amazed me was the fast service in delivery.

This is a great fan that I can prop up on my window sill after a hot day. Warm air gets trapped in my condo despite having a mobile AC unit in the living room. This big boy definitely helps circulate air better than my tower fan that I was using before. It is louder than my other fans but it is also way bigger. I don't find the sound bothersome or louder than expected. I do find it odd how it you twist the dial from off to level 3 the highest setting and then down to 2 and 1. This is the first time in my life where a gadget doesn't go from off, 1, 2, 3.....was this a mistake or what? Would recommend!

Pros: Fan is exactly what I ‘needed’ to use it for: bedtime cooling air & white noise, improving sleep quality Item is exceptionally reasonably priced It effectively buffers ‘outside’ noise (when in room fan is located) thus provides conducive bedroom environment to sleep 3 perfect speeds, not overpowering tornadic velocity, but effectively blowing out air serving purpose Cons: It hums louder than an average desk oscillating fan - therefore Audio on TV or a radio ect would definitely need increase in volume to hear while fan in operation

This fan has been pretty good. It is a bit noisy on the highest settings, but 90% of the time I use the lowest setting as it is quite powerful. I'm giving it 4 stars because the feet make it very difficult to use in our side sliding windows and it has fallen out. Now I roll up a towel underneath it to keep it stable which really isn't ideal.
