Top Quality Printer
As expected, this is a very high quality printer and gives great results on art matte paper and glossy paper. You should know how to set it up and get paper profiles to get the best results. Paper handling is slow but very smooth. The ink cartridges are Expensive!

Hi Spec Printer
Fantastic printer however for the price I would have thought it would have included things like a scanner. However it’s quiet and works well from my mobile and pc. It is a little on slow side but I’m wondering if I can change that. The size is good and fits well in my lounge. Took a while to set up but was not too difficult. Be careful of the wireless signal it can go out of signal if on standby too long. A lot of money but you’re paying for a very high spec printer.

Don’t buy
Useless. Does not work. Have to wait to contact epson office hours. Took ages to receive this.

Excellent, but...
Everyone who has used this printer has commented on the high print quality, and my first couple of dozen prints confirm this. It is partly due to the Inkset, and most commenters have said either the cartridges are expensive, or that the setup - which needs to clear shipping fluid from the ink lines - leaves the initial cartridges about 1/4 full. Epson are pretty open about that, and so much ink goes in the waste container that they provide a second one with the printer. The touch screen is good, EMX files introduced since my previous printer allow 3rd party papers to be 1st class citizens in the printer driver (no more guessing which of the papers is the best match for yours). The paper transport has no trouble with heavy photo papers (I like Hahnemuhle 308 GSM). Setup and driver installation were easy (although Epson's drivers look unchanged from about 2003!) Highest quality print modes can be slow. So combined with the ink costs probably not the print for churning out high volumes, but for hobby photographer quantities it's a good fit. Two downsides I didn't see anywhere else, the print mechanism is quiet, but the fan is pretty noisy. And the printer is designed so you can see it printing through a window without opening the lid - there is even a light for this, but the plastic for the window seems to scratch if you look at it too hard, so I expect mine to have a patina of scratches in a short time.

Excellent printer
We bought this for a friend that is a struggling artist that escaped the war in Ukraine and fled to England she is trying to build a business to support her and her husband. Foreigners are over looked for jobs. She says it is amazing.

Great quality prints
The prints are perfect for me but it likes to drink light grey ink due to the way it creates colours but will still give it 5 stars for the quality of the prints just find the right paper if you use other brands of paper take advantage of the free profiles on offer from the seller.

Quality great, but plan to spend £245 more on Ink straight away!!!!
In keeping with Epson's previous form in this area, the new SurecColor SC P-700 produces great prints. I replaced an older model, Epson, Stylus Photo R3000 which I used exclusively for photo printing - a know printer head fault on these older models killed it. The SC P-700 is as advertised, smaller, well it's basically narrower. It's the same depth and about the same height. (See Pics). Set up was very easy and all in all it took me about 30 minutes to downloads all the drivers etc and network it in to my set up. The printer now has a much easier to use touch screen with easy to follow menus etc. The test prints I've printed look fantastic. The colour reproduction is excellent and it's been very easy to calibrate my screen to the printer. Only took a very minor adjustment and now the prints reflect what I see on screen. I've attached a couple of examples. The Svartifoss waterfall is a side by side comparison with my old printer. They look the same on quick inspection, but close up you can see a difference in the colour and the print detail, it's marginal but it's there. I've also printed a few black & whites. The blacks and greys look rich and smooth, the detail again is great. So far so good. My only gripe is with the ink supplied. Having spent £678 on the printer I expected a bit more from Epson. They go to the effort of supplying ink cartridges, but upon loading them I can see they are about 20% full! They even started with low ink warnings on a number of them. The marginal cost of supplying full or even half full cartridges would be minimal. Very disappointing and it meant I was back online straight away ordering a full set of replacements at £245. So if you are planning to buy this printer, add that into the cost up front. £678 + £245 As it's a new printer, cartridges are not available on Amazon yet.

Printer replaced now have near perfect product but not for long
When this printer works it produces brilliant images but there are so many problems with the rear paper feed - paper out messages when there is paper, paper feeds but nothing printed and paper jams - that extreme patience is required if you want to see any output. To cut a long story short Epson accepted that there was a problem and arranged for a repair. Basic impression of the printer is of a powerful engine in a pedal car body. The printer has yet to be returned from repair and final judgement is reserved. The printer was replaced and ran very well until about a month ago. Paper handling issues back and now the foam under the paper path is lifting rendering the printer unuseable. Very disappointed and Epson don't want to know
