I work in cyber security, so I avoided using anti virus for the longest time. While I have never been breached (yet) or had my computer infected by malware, it is bound to happen at some point. Although I trust myself to keep my computer clean, I can only do so much to protect against things such as worms or malicious repositories. That is where Malwarebytes comes in to the picture. I have been using the Malwarebytes free version for around 8 or more years. This version is great, but only really helps once it is too late. The paid version (this product) offers real time protection, exploit protection, and many other things. While this will not stop every attack (zero days, files too large, etc.), this can help to prevent common ones. I have been using the paid version for about 2 months, and have only had 1 "exploit" noted. This exploit was actually normal function for what was running, but I honestly prefer it being a little cautious over it ignoring it and getting infected. I also want to point out that the default configuration is the perfect balance between security and functionality. While I personally have chosen to keep it at the defaults, there are options to increase security or reduce it. For most people, I would stick with the defaults. Finally, the pricing. This 18 months Malwarebytes license is an extremely fair price for the services provided at only $30-$40. I have seen reviews from other users stating issues with the licenses when switching to new computers or updating the computer (hardware update?). Due to the way the license works, I 100% believe there would be issues with licensing when switching to a new computer, so keep that in mind. When it comes to updates, I have had no problem with the licensing, though I have only done software updates. I would not be surprised if the license had trouble when new major hardware is installed (CPU, GPU, etc.), as I have had problems with other vendors in the past about this. The license is not tied to an account from what I can tell, but rather just to a computer. As a result, removing a computer from the license to use on another computer is likely not possible.

Protects against scammers, and stops many ads from infiltrating. It shows a list of discrepancies that were intercepted. Also, it is a wonderful VPN. Worth every dime

This virus protection for your PC is actually better than the other brands like Norton or McAffee. It is simple to use, give you understandable reports, etc. Other than just all around better protection, it also requires less system resources which means it doesn't bog down your system and slow everything down. I strongly recommend.

Do not order malwarebytes premium. I ordered and downloaded and registered. I ran the program and it did it's first scan of my computer. My computer crashed and I could no longer get on my computer, it would not start windows 11. I had to start my computer in safe mode and uninstalled malwarebytes program. After uninstalling malwarebytes my computer would run fine but all my passwords for different sites had been removed including my password manager. I could not even get on my password manager. It was gone. Luckily I had my password manager also installed on my phone so I was able to get the information to re-install and enter passcode to make it work on my computer again. I then had to go to all my accounts and sites and sign in because it had signed me out of every single one of them. I tried to contact customer support at malwarebytes. Good luck it's not going to happen. They have automated customer support and it is worthless. You can't talk to their support or chat with them. Just automated garbage that never addresses the problem. Good luck trying to get your money back for this junk. I was able to get my computer back up and running but I build computers and work with multiple software programs. Not everybody is going to be able to even get there computer going again. Gave it 1 star because I can't give it -10,000. Hope this review keeps some of you from making a terrible and costly mistake. Oh and by the way Amazon will never refund you on digital software purchases.

Great product. It cleared the Adware I stumbled into on a website I opened, (don't open those quiz sites). It identified and removed what Webroot and Microsoft would not. No more Pop-Up Ads that won't close.

I got this because this one time I clicked on something and magically predator vs alien appeared on my desktop. Well it came with some uninvited guest and they crashed the party. Windows defender couldn't find anything after several scans. PC was running like a brick. Downloaded the trial version of Megabytes and scanned it. Party crashers found. But it was too late. C drive had to be reformatted. Malwarebytes has been working flawlessly and handles my 5 drives with zero issues and have been keeping the party crashers at bay ever since. If you click on things and find games just showing up on your PC then I would highly recommend using this product.

I’ve been a computer repair tech and software engineer for 30 years. This is what I use to clean up systems that Norton McAfee, and all those other antivirus programs miss. I give it five stars on Amazon because I’m actually a reseller however, I got two license on here for 29 bucks two devices can’t beat the price.
