I purchased this to use with my Apple MacBook Pro. I needed this to test my cable modem and needed to be able to connect my MacBook directly to the modem to bypass the WiFi. I did not have to do anything other than plug it into my MacBook and plug in an ethernet cable. It just works and required not configuration or driver installation. I have not had any problems with it.

I've purchased Ugreen stuff before, so was expecting the USB-C to Ethernet adapter to be of similar high quality, and was not disappointed. I needed a way to check whether my occasional residential internet outages were the fault of my TP-Link Deco mesh network or my ISP, but didn't have a laptop to plug directly into the modem. I received the USB-C adapter the next day, and plugged it into my iPhone 16e after turning off its cellular data and WiFi. After connecting the iPhone to the main ethernet cable, Ookla Speedtest registered 330 Mbps on my supposedly 1Gps line. Quite likely this is the maximum one should expect from this configuration, and who knows about the quality of Ziply Fiber, but I deducted a star anyway because I was expecting double that. I await the next series of outages.
