Another gadget but so useful
If you make braised meats or soups, this is a great gadget to quickly get rid of all the extra fat which renders off and floats to the top.Simply pour the cooking liquid into this gadget, let the fat rise to the top and pull the trigger to drain the broth/stock without the fat.I use mine for pot roasts (skin off the fat before making gravy) and to get rid of some of the fat when I’m making chicken stock. Fast and easy!The only downside is the fact it is another specialized kitchen gadget which needs storage space. Mine has earned a spot in the pantry.

I’ve been using the Fat Separator with Bottom Release (4 Cup) for my cooking, and it’s fantastic. Buy one for everyone you know!! :) I've tired many separator's in the past and this is the only that does what it supposed to do. Very easy to use & comes apart to wash easily. Does not leak at all through the bottom hole. Brilliant design :) I just bought one for my parents after bringing mine to their house to make the Christmas gravy.Only negative is the peeler that comes with it is useless! It rotates but flips as you are trying to use it. I threw it away.

I actually never knew this existed, but I am so happy I learned about it now! It definitely made a huge difference in the pot roast I made, so much more flavor just from being able to separate the fat from the actual juice, easily. I don’t know if this fat separator is what made the pot roast the best one I’ve made, ever, but I kinda think it had everything to do with it. Made a huge difference to me, and to my family who asked me if I did something different, and I told them, “Nope, just took the fat out.” Lol
