A Basmati Rice Lover's Dream.!!
This Basmati rice cooks relatively quickly, is firm, flavorful, and aromatic, and is an excellent value for the money. I had never eaten this rice, was returning to Tampa for my third visit this year, and needed it for the recipes I was going to prepare for my cousin and her fiancee. I ordered this bag. We're Black; we know rice and we know gravy.... You never saw two people carry-on more than those two when they tasted it, though. They agreed that it doesn't even need gravy.

Best tasting rice I've ever eaten.
I thought "rice was rice". I bought this and WOW, it cooked up perfectly in my rice cooker! Tender, extra long grains of rice with great flavor. I've been eating it plain its so good! Shared with a coworker who loves it too. Its the BEST tasting rice I've ever eaten. It even looks perfect--fluffy, tender, individual grains--not a mushy bland blob. Made in my cheap rice cooker--looks like it should be in a magazine and served at expensive restraurants. Served with cashew chicken, served cajun lima beans and sausage over it, and next will try it with chickpea curry.

This is amazing rice!
This is the best rice..quality and taste. I had some issues with ordering two 5 bag orders. Two missing. These were so heavy that box came dismantled and 3 had air sealing broke. I wanted to reach out to pay for 3 bags I accidentally got extra when asking for 2 missing bags...so if company sees this please contact me! I want you to stay in business ;) Amazon would not let me pay.

Basmati rice
Looks like it's not the same product. The grains are different. Maybe mixed with a lower quality rice. Lacks the aroma also. Disapointed!

An Excellent Basmati
Himalayan Chef is an excellent Basmati rice. Long grain, excellent aroma and fluffy/non-lumpy when prepared in the classic 2:1 ratio of water to rice and a 20-minute cooking time. It's good to take the pot off the heat after cooking, and let sit (still covered) for 5 minutes. Perfect rice is the result.
