Know what you are doing and it works great
A bunch of negative reviews on here show some poor preparation and limited patience. I have tried others and this one is better because of the fabric-like material that carries the wax - conforms better and is softer than other plastic types. Also beats the hassle and mess of bottles and crap. Here's the problem guys: If you try to pull long hair out with wax strips, it is not going to work, it will hurt, and it will leave loads of messy wax all over the place. They tell you to use it on short hairs. So what you do is lightly shave your hair so it is short - about 1/4" to 1/2". THEN use the wax strips. Also, you really need to pull in the opposite direction of your hair growth, very close to the skin, and with a super fast snap. Don't do it on a "clean" body. Plan to do it just before you shower. That way the wax will be pulling on the natural oils of your skin and some dead skin which reduces the "grab". If you do it on clean skin, it will grab harder and therefore be more painful. When I first tried these things I had the same reactions guys on here say: OUCH! what a mess! how many times do I have to rip to get all the hair out!? That is because I was doing it all wrong. And if you do it right and repeat I guarantee it is not nearly as painful as it was in your first "trial" run. After I realized how to do it to avoid being painful, I actually got the guts to use it places my girlfriend wanted! Also, I have a whole bunch of extra finishing wipe packets used for wiping off the wax. There is plenty if you don't throw the wax strips all over the place. Come on, just stick it on your chest or whatever, snap it off, then I just stick them to each other when finished, stick them back into the box and throw it out. If you do it right, there is usually only a small bit of wax left on your skin once in awhile and I need only one wipe to clean off from one full body session. And it does work over time - I need to do it less and less now and it is a lot easier than in the beginning. So "MAN UP" guys - do your homework and you won't have any trouble. UPDATE: A friend prompted me to add a couple things since this is such a popular review- 1. The strips work better when warm. You can warm them in your hands like the instructions say but I set the pile under a light or in the sun to get them a little warmer than just between my hands. There is a sweet spot - too warm and they are too soft and won't grab, too cold and they are trouble. 2. Not all hairs grow in the same direction. When they do, snap the strip in the opposite direction. There are a few spots on my body where the hairs are sprouting in all different directions. So I snap in one direction and then go over the same spot and snap in the opposite direction. This gets most of it. But I would not do the same spot more than twice. The skin can get raw and you might hurt yourself. For some folks with more sensitive skin, they may only be able to do one snap in a session. You just have to find what works for you. 3. Always be sure to stretch your skin in the opposite direction from where you are snapping the strips. Snapping without tension on your skin is asking for trouble. Good luck!

Ouch!
My husband purchased these in hopes of being able to wax his back and feel more confident at the pool. We followed directions & warmed up the wax with our hands. Placed them on his back and peeled of quickly as directed to. It hurt him and only pulled out a few hairs. We then attempted to try letting the wax sit on his back and dry for a few minutes. It waxed patches and only half of the strips. He's left with hair, some bald patches, red marks, soreness, some blood, and residue wax stuck on his back that we had to shave off. 0/10 don't recommend.

good product, but inconsistent 'calming wipe' to wax strip ratio
Twenty strips, but only two 'calming wipes', it does state that on the box in small print, and I've no issue with buying the wipes separately, but it would have been good if the instructions made the situation clearer. Under Helpful and Handy Tip, (below the actual use instructions), it says "Remove any residual wax with the post wax calming oil wipes provided" Perhaps it should say "..with one of the two sample post wax calming oil wipes, (available separately)" I think that oil wipes are a key part of the process. Aside from that, the strips are good, straightforward, and worked fine for me, (a fair haired white male). I'm thinking about reusing the used strips as fly traps, since I live alone and nobody will get grossed out. They work for me, I will buy again.

Painfully works
I was hesitant to get these after reading other reviews, but I figured it was only $5, and it was the closest thing to what I was looking for. I got them because I had to have surgery, and I knew they would shave the area if I left it as is. I didn't want that because that gets really itchy and uncomfortable with cloths on. I think the strips work pretty well. Of course it isn't fun, but it does the job. The worst part is the acne it gives you because bacteria can (and will) get into the hair follicles. I found using some sort of acne scrub helps. It is best if you can get someone to help you, as that makes it go faster. However, if you're like me and rather do it alone, it can take a little while. Just make sure you go "against the grain" because if you try waxing in the same direction as the hair growth, it won't work at all.

Sensitive skin people stay away
Not exactly what I expected. You must warm up with your hands very well so the product can adhere... a lot of residue would stay on the skin and u have to go over the same spot multiple times. I do not recommend for sensitive skin. I had no allergic reaction on my skin as I’m used to regular waxing, I just had to pluck hairs that were left after using the strips. But when I tried it on my husband to remove his chest hair the wax strips gave him a very bad allergic reaction so I threw them all away. I believe he might have sensitive skin, all his chest got swollen and red spots everywhere. If you have sensitive skin stay away, if you are looking for a way to wax without much mess you may try this product just know they might be spots the strip won’t remove hair and You still have to pluck.

Leaves sticky glue in applied area.
It does work somewhat. But nowhere near as good as it did many years ago. Now there is usually quite a bit of glue left on the area you wax it with and it is hard to remove. It is frustrating. Def not as good as years ago. I’m moving on from Nad’s.

Wow
For someone who is mentally hearing on the arms and below the belly button and such, I feel after spending hundreds of dollars as salon and trying to do laser treatment, which is over costly, and when someone who really does it on their own, I’ve never have after researching and reading about how hard this must be when you watch the videos and I will tell you that they and themselves are true to state This product is actually amazing instead of between your palms get hot mug of water and just rabbit around the mug a couple times versus the palm of your hands. How do use one strip seven times on my upper arms and it’s actually amazing the results that you see from this product alone I recommended highly I have left to use the creams for the meds as well as the rest of my body because the strips themselves I was skeptical about home waxing this is amazing. I recommend a mug of water hot wrapped around it vigorously three or four times and you would be amazed at the results. Absolutely by this product I highly recommend it. I really review anything. I’ve never done this on my on my own. This is a very first time in years. I’ve waxed my own self again. You will never be disappointed. If if you do it properly it will give you exactly what it says. It does the most amazing smooth skin and the results are outstanding.
