It's time for bestselling bunnies Max and Ruby to go to bed—but first, a story! Max and Ruby want to hear story after story before bed, so Grandma tells one more... And then another! She tells them their favorite stories—the ones about the things they did when they were younger bunnies. Bursting with Wells's exuberant pictures, this large format book will delight fans of the beloved bunny siblings who star in their own show on Nick, Jr. "Added to one's home collection, this book is sure to be requested at many bedtimes."— Children's Literature Review: Granddaughter loves Max & Ruby! - Our granddaughter just turned two and she loves Max & Ruby. We have several of the books and DVDs and she is enthralled with all of them. Max& Ruby are her most favorite DVDs as she doesn't want to watch anything else. Highly recommend this book and any other Max & Ruby items. The simple, low key and pleasant stories are perfect for little ones. Too much on tv/dvd for kids today is frenetically paced, high energy, loud and obnoxious. Not so with Max & Ruby. She is a very busy two year-old yet, they always hold her interest without the loud, attention grabbing tactics of some shows. Sweet stories in the books seem to match up to some of the DVDs. Max & Ruby always show tolerance and understanding even when little brother Max is getting under big sister Ruby's skin....and the stories always end up with little Max having something to offer his bigger and "all-knowing" sister Ruby. Our granddaughter even plays pretend Max & Ruby story lines on her own.....so fun to watch her incorporate some of their antics into her own play. Based on our granddaughter's love of all things Max & Ruby, I highly recommend this book. Review: Great Book! - Max and Ruby's Bedtime Book is a cute, great way to get children to go to sleep.

Sweet stories
I have a two-year-old daughter who was recently introduced to Rosemary Wells by way of her Bunny Planet books while visiting grandparents. As that was a huge hit I decided to give something else by Rosemary Wells a try. Since then we have bought or checked out from the library a number of Max and Ruby books. This is a lovely book with 3 stories involving Max and Ruby. The thread tying them together is that Grandma agrees to tell them a bedtime story and then they beg for another, and finally another, before they fall asleep. If you have read and enjoyed other Max and Ruby books, you will find much familiar here, with Max always finding his own way to do things. As my two-year-old likes to say, "Silly Max!" A downside to this book is that it at least with my daughter, if you stop after the first or second story, you will get quite a bit of protest. "Finish it!" If you buy this book, you can expect to have to read it over and over as it will be asked for. Other Max and Ruby favorites: Bunny Mail and Bunny Cakes. Max's Dragon Shirt is not bad either. Max's Clean Up isn't quite as big a hit with our family.

The night time companion for all the siblings!
You can't go wrong with Rosemary Wells Max and Ruby Bedtime Book. 6 yr old. 8 yr old and 9 yr. old all read together and compete for the best reader among grandchildren. Its a win win fun time. The loveliest illustrations of distinct characters in surprising story lines. Keeps them all calling for more, more, more. They love reading when its Max and Ruby story times.

A must for every child
I raised my daughter on Max and Ruby books and we fell in love with them. She is now 26 and we still look back on them fondly. I bought these for the small two year old daughter of my daughter's friend and she is thrilled with them as well. Adults will delight in the deadpan, tongue in cheek humor of this witty author. No child's library is complete without Max and Ruby!

Great book.
Simple illustrations and language. My daughter who is a big fan of the Max and Ruby series loves this book to bits. My 6 month old baby is intrigued by the illustrations too. It has paper cover back and was slightly damaged on delivery though.

Lovely book, very like the tv show.
We love this book in my house and are big fans of the tv show. Ruby is just the most organised, sensible little rabbit ever! My daughter (5)goes around imitating Ruby and pretending that her younger sister (3) is Max! There are three stories included, one where Ruby sets up a play restaurant, in another Max and Ruby go swimming and in the final one Max brings an airplane to school. My kids love the tv show so I wanted to try one of the books that it is based on. I found the book to be very like the tv show, with a similar tone and pacing. The illustrations are a tiny bit different but just as enjoyable with plenty of illustrations per page.
