The most sensitive casting / boat rod I’ve ever used.
This is hands down the most sensitive rod of this type that I’ve ever used. At this point I’m fairly certain to get any better action, I’d need to have a custom rod built. As it compares to the shimano trevala series (which are excellent rods) it’s near night and day. My trevala was an excellent rod plagued by blank twist. Not so bad that it didn’t function, was just noticeable, and even more so now that I’ve spent the spring / summer fishing with my grappler. The grappler - zero twist. It’s thinner, arguably lighter, feels better in the hand, and so sensitive that I can tell the difference between weeds and sand on the bottom of the ocean in 70’ of water. You will catch more fish with this rod. At ~$250 it’s a steal. I’d pay $350 and feel like I got my money’s worth. Highly recommend. If you’re on the fence, buy it. You’ll be happy you did.
