AmprobeAMP-210 Clamp Meter

Excellent meter
Little on the larger side but as the fieldpiece. This is a great meter, the immediate power reading is just instant. No lags and no issues. Able to test dc and right after dc without needing to turn dial. Meter is definitely a rugged unit and the case is great. Alligator adapter clips are excellent to read power on post or any bare wire. The temp feature is precise and the clam reading amp tip is a neat feature for crowded wiring areas. This is a great meter that sure works to read all readings as stated. I tested the meter and so far all readings are excellent with accuracy. I believe this is pretty cheap to be a $200 meter so it is a great deal for all you get. Amprobe is fluke standard so you are in good hands. Get the 330 and you will not be disappointed. This meter is usednin commercial hvac and on many 480v up to 75 amp capacity with great results. Does the job, fraction of price. Dont forget inrush current, great feature.

Excellent clamp meter and when you take the price in ...
Excellent clamp meter and when you take the price in to account it just makes it an even better choice. The features are easy to use and I especially love the amptip function. The size of this thing is also perfec. The Amprobe AMP-210 was a great addition to my tool box. It is a high quality meter that gave me additional features over my Fluke multimeter. The current clamp works well, as does the voltage testing function. I used the included thermocouple lead to repair and calibrate my freezer thermostat that failed. Overall I am pleased with this purchase.

Great Meter
Though this will not accept a mini k-type thermocouple without an adapter, all the other features are great! Defaults to microfarrads, Amps, resitance, Reads capacitance immediately. You have to use the select button to change to temperature, from capacitance, but all but one of the other functions work well. The small wire amp setting cannot read high voltage with accuracy, so that feature is overrated, but the clamp is thinner, making it much easier to use when space is at a premium. This meter has replaced my fieldpiece meter in my HVAC tool bag.

Amprobe Amp 330 clamp meter for Industrial Wireman, Hvac Tech
Amprobe AMP-330 Clamp Meter. Very nice meter, bench tests were good, was not able to do three phase tests at this time. Slow response time in measuring small cell ( Battery) not a big deal.Good buy for the money.Inrush tests comparing with Ms2108 and Extech 382060 were good. Amps, voltage, capacitor, and Temp. Tolerances very good.Non contact Voltage test very handy, good for Identifying Hot side. Vs neutral grounded conductor.Happy with the purchase so far. Will do more testing soon and try to give feed backJourneyman Electrical Wireman/ E Engineer Retired mostly

It's a good pro 3 phase meter...
.. but just be aware that this is physically larger than your average clamp meter.I keep my standard sized clamp meter in my toolbox but then use this one when I need to get serious. This is made to read VFD currents and it can test 3 phase power rotation from the line power OR from the motor by spinning the motor.

Good Value for features and function
For Amazon's price, the AMP-330 is worth it as a rotation meter alone, it checks motor rotation as well. AC/DC to 1KV and KAnon contact voltage detection (NCVT) ...More. No big instruction book to use! The 330 model has a light. I Like It a lotUPDATE: I have had this meter since July 2016. No Regrets! In fact I have grown to rely on it and has everything I need doing service work in residential, commercial and industrial. Use it 20 to 1 over my $500 Fluke! It lives in the top of my everyday tool box.UPDATE: December 2018 Fixed Christmas lights with the NCVT, Still Love It!UPDATE: July 2021 Still Awesome used it for flame detecton on propane camper furnace

Not sure I'm going to keep it? Edit: I've decided to return this.
This is a good meter for many reasons. I received this meter today and gave it a little workout. First and foremost it has everything you need except a body magnet and clamp-light. Everything a HVAC tech needs is there including two functions that are somewhat difficult to find on the same meter: inrush current and micro amps. Many meters have one or the other, but not both. Now the bad and reason for only three stars: This meter does not do capacitance well. For an HVAC technician this is important. We all got out our meters today and measured a start-capacitor that was about 475uF. A fluke measured about 480, my other amprobe measured 470, another fluke 116 measured about the same. This meter started out at 230, went up to over 900, then bounced around finally stopping at 390. I have to be able to check start and run capacitors! I need a meter that will do this well. I suppose it does this because its 1.5v batteries just can't charge the cap. I would recommend this meter for many functions, but not for HVAC. Amprobe should engineered this for 9v power.I may return this meter soon, I'll try it out again tomorrow.Edit #1 I did more testing today. This time we tested the in-rush current function. In my opinion there really is not an in-rush function since it only measures on the minimum/maximum setting. The test was a small 120v compressor. Full load current is about 4 1/2 amps, RLA on this meter measured 21amps, all the others meters measured 28-29amps. Percentage wise this is a bigger than desireable spread. On a 15amp 230v compressor the RLA should be about 100amps, if this percentage holds true it would only measure 80. This would be misleading and may cause me to make an error in diagnosing a system.I have tested this meter twice on two different necessary functions. I compared the results to that of a Fluke 292, an Amprobe ACDC 54NAV, and on capacitance with a Fluke 116. I've decided not to keep this meter and send it back. It is too bad, the size and weight of the meter is perfect and its functions are easy to learn, much easier than the 54NAV. This meter cost me about $140, better can be bought for this priceI've decided to return this meter.

Equipo completo
