Better than anything else I've used
There are tons of vinyl/leather pens that all claim to be soluble. These are refillables and really work the best. The silver doesn't accidentally wipe off while handling the material but also won't leave permanent stains. To remove heavier marks on soft vinyl, apply a drop of mineral oil to the area, even the stuff for your sewing machine will work fine and won't damage the texture. Also, make sure your workspace is illuminated evenly. I noticed that a single light source will sometimes make it difficult to see the specular reflection of the silver from certain angles. Awesome product otherwise, thank you!

They seem like good quality. Writes smooth on vinyl/leather.

They don’t really work on any of the leathers I’ve tried
I’ve tried using these pens on the flesh side and on the grain side of chrome tan, veg tan, finished splits, dyed, undyed, etc. and I have not been satisfied with the results even once. Most of the time, the pens don’t leave any mark at all. When they do leave a mark, it’s streaky and inconsistent, like the cartridge is running out of ink even when it’s brand new. Worse, the marks don’t actually rub off. They’ll permanently stain veg tan and even the chrome tan sides I’ve tried using these pens on had some noticeable residue. And on top of that, you have to press so hard to make a mark that there’s an impression left behind even after you rub off the ink. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

Good quality, with cautions.
These are pretty good . . . just don't store them vertically with the writing end up: the ink doesn't want to start flowing again, and it tends to come out on things when you DON'T want it to if stored with the tip down (so best to keep them horizontal!). Also, instructions for silver leather marking pens say to not use them on veg-tan. That leather is too porous, and the ink won't come back off very well (if at all).

The ink doesn't work very well on boat vinyl.
Limited use on boat seat vinyl
