Check the specs. of you pc. It's more than seeing if it will fit, it's important to see if you pc can use it, such as is it to much ram. Yes, you can put in to much ram. Your pc may not function properly and also to much ram also would be overkill as well. Such as inserting to much ram and your pc will only use the amount of ram it's designed to use and the rest will just "sit" there so to speak and never be used. Always check you pc specs to see how much ram your pc will be able to use. It can be complicating, but you can add ram by removing one or both sticks you already have and installing more or removing just one stick and adding another. Basically it's simple math. First check your specs, then do the math and mix or match sticks to add up to what your pc can handle. Hope this helps.
