Get the gel, for some reason the other ones only half way work. The gel work very nicely though.

The new pen doesn't write

2-3 of the refills don't fit properly so the bolt action will not work. Also I write the same amount every day. Some of the ink refills will last half a day. Some a couple of days. Some 2 weeks. Unfortunately there is only about one of those per pack. I bad the refills aren't as good as the pen.

I absolutely love this brand have loved everything I have received from them whether it be from amazon or their website. But when I ordered these gel refills I was hoping for that nice, dark gel look and feel but got what felt like an old or dying cart instead. I tried each one of them over the course of a few days and could get them to write well on some paper but not in any of my journals. I feel like I prob just got unlucky with the batch or maybe gel just isn't what I should be using because I ordered the blue ball point refills and they work and feel amazing. Def shouldn't be looked at as a reflection of the company our its products but just wanted to share that my experience and see if anyone else agrees that I may have had a bad batch or if gel just isn't right for me. Bastion I love you! Keep making good products and ill keep coming back for more.

Pen refills had flow problems, one out of the batch worked correctly ended up buying Parker pen refills the ink flow is more consistent

Bought the Gel based ink refills, ok but found them quite scratchy, certainly not as smooth as the standard ink refills.

I was recommended this type of refil by a friend and when it works it is really nice and smooth but the problem is it's seems to take a long time to get the ink running smoothly (I've scribbled constantly to get the ink to flow) and even after a while of use it just keeps on stopping and out of frustration I have stopped using them and gone back to the traditional standard bastion refils. I may have been unluck but I'm not buying them again.
