Extremely Well Made Bee House - Immediately Ordered Another After Installing First One
This bee house is very sturdy, nice wood, easy to replace tubes (around a hundred but didn't count). Only flaw was a pretty short overhang on the front, which was easily remedied by making a roof from scrap ribbed metal roofing and roof screws left over from previous job (did the same with bluebird feeders I bought off here as well). While adding the roof I realized that I could easily make 3 at once so that's what I did, ordering second bee house when I finish typing this and third later. I used the screw head hangers on the back, found that #8 screws with tapered head (head diameter about 5/16) fit well. Used some 3 inch screws though and had to grind the heads down slightly to fit the hangers, was able to hang on south east face of a tree about 6 ft off ground adjacent to garden. Hopefully some bees move in quickly as my winter cover crop is at peak flower stage so there are lots of them around. Note that roof is flush at back and overhang about an inch on sides and front, with front using an upside down rib to further protect the tubes.

I keep buying more and more
Bought 2 more because they're so great. These are well built, the tubes are easy to remove and replace ( I line my tubes with parchment paper so I can reuse the tube). The house being coated with beeswax is a fantastic idea. I live a very rainy area and the beeswax held up nicely.

These are so fun for kiddos to be able to watch and observe!!! I got to order more mason bee homes. This one only thing I don’t love was that it was glued to the back so I’ll had to try pretty hard to get the tubes out to refill or I’ll have to buy new?? I think out of all the boxes I purchased this one stayed dry and didn’t rot! I purchased it last spring! Still looks great.!

I love this!
I actually ordered a mason bee hive from this same company before and was so happy with it, I ordered another. My mason bees completely filled up every tube on my last one so I'm happy to have another one they can use this spring. I really like the wax coating on the wood. It helps with rotten wood issues. The tubes are a great size and easy to replace when you need more (unlike my experience with bamboo). If this one fills up as well as my other, I'll probably buy another one from this same company because I'm really happy with the quality. They're sturdy. Highly recommend.

Cute, Functional and a Great value!
These little houses are great value for the money! It’s the first time buying a bee house with removable tubes - there were so many out there and since I’m still learning about mason bees, I didn’t want to spend too much money. The price was great and the bee houses are sturdy with a few exceptions. I read the other reviews so I was prepared to have to send any broken hives back but all 7 hives arrived in good condition. I noticed a couple of the backs of the houses were coming unglued so I used a small screw to attach the loose corner. In my estimation, still a great deal considering I don’t know how to build one myself and want the inexpensive, quick purchase allowing me to get on with getting houses up while the bees were still active. The houses came with a bit of twine, some hardware and 2 types of hooks already attached to the boxes. I just hung the boxes by the hook on a nail.

Pretty good with modifications
Pros: inexpensive it is the proper 6 inch depth Cons: the tubes are too small to accommodate paper liners - I added some by cutting the liners and overlapping them the tubes aren't plugged at the end - I ended up plugging them with plaster of paris you need to add a roof overhang to protect it from the weather the hangers are silly - don't hang it by the "rope" - the bees need a non-moving environment I ended up screwing the house to a cedar backing board and adding a roof overhang which was worth the effort and made the house much less expensive than the $65 bee houses from my local nursery. I'll replace the tubes next year.

Well made and good quality. Gave it four stars because I wish it had an overhang on the top to keep some of the weather out.
