This IS the real thing.
This stuff is overpriced for cooked sugar, but it's better than cooking it myself. The 6lb/$20 bargain I tried is not the real thing. It tastes like molasses and I already had plenty if molasses.

Upgrade your flan to crème caramel and brûlée
I love crème caramel and this topping allows me to upgrade grocery store flan to the creamy dessert I enjoyed while studying in France. A little pricey but one bottle should last a long time. The caramel (not butterscotch) flavor is perfect for duplicating classic crème caramel and crème brûlée recipes without a lot of extra work.
