Any reason this wouldn't work for an adult working on time management?

I don't see why not. The colors would be a good visual cue to help keep on task. It keeps my three year old boy on task for whatever I'm asking of him, so it should definitely work for an adult.

Does this timer have a yellow warning light or does the red light just come on with an audible alarm when time is up?

The light goes from green, to yellow (if you set the yellow dial), to red when time is up. Yellow and red both have audible alarm.

If I want to use the 5 minute timer with yellow turning on with 1 minute left, is that possible?
