the replacement fit perfectly, however just know that the original hinge screws are held in place with “loctite” (kind of a super glue for screws).!! Do Not Strip Or Mess Up The Screws! Use The Right Size Large Screwdriver and Also Make Sure To Soften The Loctite!! the new one doesn’t come with screws so you will need the originals. there are several ways to soften the loctite. do a search plenty of time before wanting to install the new one. i used the 3 in 1 oil method and let it sit overnight then with the screwdriver in them, tapped each with a hammer. they came out easily. actually if you have the right tools like an impact screwdriver, you would save a bit of stress and a few choice colorful metaphors. in any case, the part works for our 3000 series pedal perfectly.

So nice to have my DW 7002 back in play! The old hinge 'froze', and I was unable to remove it. A local music store swapped it out, put the new one on, and hey! Works!

It is an exact replacement. Easy to install.

This is not a heavy-duty hinge - no matter what the description says. The hinge pin will soon wear, then the hinge will bind making your pedal sluggish and it will possibly seize - bad news at a gig. The hinge is easy to replace and is universal for most of DW's 3000 series products. Go ahead and get two while you're at it!The factory screws may be really tight so make sure you have the right size phillips screwdriver since the screw heads can strip easily.

When inspecting my DW 5000 pedal to find the cause of a persistent squeak, I discovered that the original hinge leaves had developed fatigue cracks and would soon break. I got the new hinge and installed it, and my pedal is as good as new. And no more squeaks.

This worked great on my DW 5000 pedal. Don’t bother spending the extra on the anodized red one.

I had this product for less than a month before it broke and it was extremely expensive for being a small piece of metal and shipping took longer than expected, now I have to spend more on a new one and wait a long shipping period and can’t use my kit in the mean time.
