What do the rings say?

G&R nailed it. I just stumbled onto this and this is a perfect gift for some of my Lord of the Ring fans. I hope they still have them in there.

Would this fit a pen inside?

Doubtful unless it is a tiny novelty pen. There is a small hole that is offset so nothing as ridged as a pen can be inserted. That said, this piece is amazing. Very heavy and solid. Combination is super easy to change. This really is a quality piece.

Does it come with the code separately or do I have to open it up to get the code

It has an initial password: ILOVEU, you can set your own password after opening it, and then provide clues for another person to guess the password to open it.
