cant handle any power, blew 2 within days. **This was the original review, and is not correct** Edited review 7/16/14: This needs to be edited because of an error on my part. The reason the speakers sounded blown was due to incorrect settings in the amplifier. These speakers were installed by me on my 86 Suzuki Cavalcade motorcycle. Once I got the settings on the amp correct, the speakers sound fine, and can be heard clearly at speeds up to 55 MPH. Faster speeds and sound kinda gets washed out by wind noise. They are great speakers for the price and again, sound fine with a 300 watt amp provided settings on amp are correct. Can even hear a little more bass than before.

Pile speakers are known to be on the less impressive side of the spectrum. The price reflects such. For me they will work just fine. I have them on an alpine 45x4 direct inline amp and my Silverado’s factory stereo produces 6 channels from it. I put the 3 1/2 inch speakers in the dash where 2 3/4 factory speakers were. I trimmed off the metal ear opposite the speaker wires to get them to fit. No compromise in performance. They have no bass what so ever which is expected for the location in the truck. Sound quality is similar to the Walmart speakers you know from childhood and the location in the dash raises the sound stage. I’d buy them again if they don’t last very long.

These were a direct fit for my 2017 Ram 1500 dash speakers. I did not realize how bad the stock speakers sounded until I replaced them with these. I was a little worried that the bright yellow would be a distraction, but one the factory grills were installed, they are only heard, not seen. You wont be disappointed with this upgrade! A great sound improvement at any price.

I have a pontiac 93 in which I have been upgrading throughout the years. the Original from speakers were basic cardboard which had fallen apart. I previously had home theater speakers in their place, since they front speakers are there for acoustic purposes. I decided to replace them when I had seen these for such a low price. I have a sub so all of my bass is directed through it (I know when I turn it off it's as clear as night / day). Before installing I double checked the schematic for positives and negative, and did so once again with my aftermarket Stereo / with an online schematic since I basically reused the stock wires. I've had no issues with my previous set up and only installed these to hide my front speakers (since they were still in their home theater housing and people would say my car looks ghetto with them in full view). Wouldn't recommend these whatsoever, When I get the chance I'm going to uninstall these and use my old home theater speakers which are clearly superior.

These are priced so cheap I had to try them. Unfortunately they just aren't up to the task. Let's start with the mounting fins. These were way too wide for the speaker indenture in my dash. I had to modify the fins by using tin snips to allow them to fit. Now for the sound - they actually sound pretty good. Very crisp and they have a great bass response. Now for the bad - at a good volume, (not cranked to the max) just a nice "jamming" volume, the drivers side speaker began to emanate a high pitched whining sound. My guess is that the noise was coming from the tweeter. If you are using these to replace your OEM set, be mindful that the tweeter is raised about a half inch above the outer rim of the speaker housing. This made the reinstallation of the dash grill covers impossible. I ended up uninstalling these and purchasing a set of kenwoods, which I am pretty happy with. FYI - Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005

Look great and sound great. I had to cut off a little prong to be able to install these where the factory speaker was, but apart from that I'm happy with it. I was still able fasten it properly pretty easily in my 2017 F150.

Not bad little speakers. They provide the treble in my dash accompanied by the Kickers all around and i must say they hold their own....Treble wise. They can handle being turned up quite loud and are comparable to the $80 Hertz tweets they replaced (Which blew after a few months) Only thing is that the Capacitor in the picture isn't really there, It's under the Dome tweet. That was kinda why i bought it, for the capacitor feeding the entire speaker ALSO the price. Only time will tell though. So far so good.
