SanDisk 8GB SDHC Memory Card (RETAIL PACKAGE)

I just got it today! Compatible with my Nikon Coolpix L20 (2009) Digi Cam. Formatting worked as well and can slide right in my laptops (PC) sd slot perfectly! The price is a bit steep but otherwise great memory card 👍🏾

When I purchased the NIX 10.4" Digital Photo Frame I knew I would need to purchase storage for the unit because it lacked internal memory. I know, but the unit had everything I wanted. And beside the price-point on all forms of portable storage has dropped to next to nothing so letting go $6.99 for a new "SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SD High Capacity (SDHC) Card" was doable. The Product The "SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SD High Capacity (SDHC) Card" features a high transfer rate up to a 2.5MB/s burst transfer rate. The unit is backed by a 5-year limited warranty and is fully compatible with all SD-compliant devices. First Impressions: I love this card. What's not to love; it is easy to use, high capacity; it's completely plug-n-play. The SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SD High Capacity (SDHC) Card is easy to use, and as I pointed out above, the drive is designed for the Windows Vista, Windows XP and Mac X Operating Systems (OS). All the Operating Systems have the ability to automatically recognize new hardware via plug-n-play technologies. There is no software to install. Once inserted into an available SD media card slot, the SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SD High Capacity (SDHC) Card is automatically set up as a removable drive, and as such is accessible just as any hard drive or a CD/ROM drive. They can even be formatted as boot devices. File transfers are quick and painless via the SD Media card slot, and I have experienced no file corruption to date, nor do I expect any. Be advised, that if you have a preponderance of mapped drives already on your computer, as I do, Windows XP/7 may not assign your removable media the next open drive letter; this happen to me. If you insert the SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SD High Capacity (SDHC) Card and get the message that new hardware has been found and is now available for use, but the device is not assigned a drive letter, you must go to Control Panel /Administrative Tools/ Computer Manager/ Disk Manager, to manually assign the drive letter. But as I stated above I bought this unit to store picture for use with the NIX 10.4" Digital Photo Frame. After I copied said photos to the card I removed it from my Windows 7 computer I inserted it into the NIX and it was immediately recognized it. Nothing could be easier. Conclusion I couldn't ask for a better product then the SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SD High Capacity (SDHC) Card. If you need a small, versatile, hi-speed, large capacity replacement for those pesky floppy drives, or smaller capacity flash drives look no further than the SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SD High Capacity (SDHC) Card.

Well, I cannot remember why I got this because I've had a few phones since I got it. I do know it was for my phone. Regardless, it has switched phones each time I get a new one because usually you get 2Gs with the phone and I need more than that. It has kept all of my files just perfectly, I've had it for over a year now with no problems. I have also downloaded all of my contacts and imported from the card each time I lose my contacts (SmartPhones are sometimes not too smart when it comes to this or maybe it's just me :-) ). Regardless, it's a life-saver because somehow my phones (currently a Samsung Droid Charge but I had a Samsung Galaxy SII before this) tend to lose contacts from time to time with no explaination, despite my Backup Assistant. If you want a nice working, long-lasting SD Card, go for it. No reason yet to give it less stars than 5. No complaints.

This bargain-priced flash memory card will work in most recently-manufactured point-and-shoot cameras and it provides enough memory to record videos or an entire vacation of digital still photos with room to spare. Most new notebook and many desktop computers have slots that can directly read SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) cards, making it easy to move photos or data from card to computer. This memory card was easily and quickly formatted by my wife's camera. Although it isn't the fastest memory card available it has a low price and is more than adequate for her camera. If you have an SLR or an HD video camera, they are more demanding. Therefore you'll probably need a much faster and more expensive memory card for them. My order arrived as promised, the price was reasonable and it worked right out of the package without a hitch. I couldn't have asked for more than that.

had got this little thing more than a month ago. had been using it almost every day as my little trusted backup drive. Read and write on the drive everyday back in the office. average transfer is about 100MB read and write, had no problem so far. though it is only a class2 device, i am not using it to transfer huge single file so i am ok with it. i have also tried it on my canon camera sx100 without any hiccup although it is not my intention to use it on my camera, just want to give it a try. my acer laptop is also able to work with the device on its built-in SD slot. so far, i am very please with this card, having to plug into my laptop in the office for ~10hrs, though a little warm, it works well.

I purchased this card for two reasons. First the price was exceptionally good and second the card serves the purpose for which it was bought. Frankly, it is a slow card (number 2) rating, compared to others available by Sandisk, upwards of a 10. However, I use it exclusively for my computer as an external Flash card and works wonderfully all the time. Speed is not of the essence here as it is for a camera. I would not use it in my digital DSLR cameras, for it would impede the speed of recording when using burst mode or seeking to take many quick shots. So apart from speed here, all of my six Sandisk cards always work for me.

I bought these before from Amazon. I actually look forward to buying from Amazon and I go their first to find what I want. Ive have bought stuff from them many times and its always been for me a simple hassle free purchase. Its quick and easy for me everytime. I appreciate hassle free fast service and for me Amazon has a very good system running. I liked these Memeory Cards, cheap price and they work perfect for me and Ive not had anything go wrong with this brand, its good. I will buy more in the future Im certain and I WILL go to Amazon first, cant beat there service.
