Makes plumbing repair a breeze
We installed one of these traps 15 years ago and really liked the easy clog clearing mechanism and ease of installation. Eventually it cracked at the threads going into the wall pipe. We found it again on line and studied the reviews, realizing that we hadn’t exactly engaged the threads and subsequently over-tightened the gaskets to keep it from leaking, resulting in cracks that later were not able to mitigate. This time, I was VERY careful to get pipes gaskets, nuts and threads flush with one another, and if a gasket wasn’t working, looked closely and used another better matched gasket choice from the kit. Also careful NOT to overtighten this time. Tighter is NOT a solution. Correct alignment is key to success. It’s a great product to last 15 years not properly installed. This time, properly installed it should last a good 45 years or more!

Failed glued parts.
It seems nice & good idea at first but this didn’t last not even a couple of months, the threaded part leaked due to a poorly glued part. The rest of the unit is just two halves glued together with no mechanical attachment so they won’t last as the gluing deteriorates & cracks. I reached out to customer service but no response to my emails and when I call I just get nothing useful only to know that somebody will get back to me. The standard p-traps are one solid piece that won’t separate like this transparent poorly designed and worst manufactured.

I like this p-trap
I first installed these 12 years ago. One started a small leak at the junction of the sink’s down pipe. I didn’t find anything that would cause a leak after removing it. I may needed to have tighten the compression ring but decided I wanted new ones. I have these in four other sinks and one change is the nut you tighten is white with two tabs; the old ones were clear without the tabs. Easy to install and am happy with them.

Good for use in a bathroom sink
I installed this easily for a bathroom sink. This trap works as expected (I can see into the trap, and unclog it with a twist). This bathroom sink doesn't see much hot water use (its on a third floor, so takes forever for the hot water to run up there), and I think hot water would be the biggest risk factor since this p trap is fused from two pieces. I think as long as this p trap isn't exposed to regular/intense hot and cold water cycles (causing expansion and contraction), I think this will hold up just fine. I would be a little more nervous using this on a kitchen sink if I were washing dishes regularly by hand for instance. Or if my tap water was extra scalding hot for cleaning. I would expect this to hold up for years and years as long as use case stays "within a tolerable range."

Not a long term solution.
It worked for eight months under normal use before developing hairline fractures.

Can’t live without them.
This three were my replacement sets. The other Les We’re at least ten years old. One easy twist and everything is swept out and clean again after all the years that I had my previous sets they were still working but we’re starting to collect lime deposits so I went ahead and decided to buy new ones.

Joints Fail
Installed this in May 2022... Here we are in February 2022 and the joints have failed in two places... In the main trap the joint of the two halves failed and was dripping and then on the extension pipe that is inserted into the wall the flared end of the tailpipe looks like it just came unglued... it was on one side of the nut and the tailpipe on the other. Bottom line... great idea but a piece of junk from a workmanship craftsmanship standpoint.
