Cuts hay bale strings easily.

I don’t think people realize you can pry it apart and fix the blade if it moves and there’s an extra blade inside the handle after the first becomes dull.

Definitely a safer tool to cut hay bale twine vs scissors or box cutter! Stay safe, great tool.

I did purchase this item because the blade is changeable if needed and it cuts the twine very easily. However, after about 20 bales, the handle separated slightly while in use and the blade came out of the handle . This was a concern because I was not able to find the blade within the bale so I had to remove the bale from the livestock and was not able to feed it. If the livestock was to ingest the blade it would cut them internally and kill them. For this reason only, I feel the knife is dangerous to use.
