Will it work if mointors are on 4 different floors of a building ?

I could not get then to work on one floor. One sensor kept spiking over 200 degrees. Made me think there was a fire at first. JUNK!

Do the sensor readings actually match when you put the sensors next to each other?

They will not match perfectly because every sensor has a margin of error. The error margins are published on the product page.

Can this be used to monitor refrigerators & freezers?

Yes, unless they are a metal box. Wireless or RF signals cannot pass through metal. Consider the WS-21 instead: https://www.amazon.com/Ambient-Weather-WS-09-Refrigerator-Thermometer/dp/B00EYIEDOI which has probes.
