great product for price. purchased several. Reel has great drag, turns easily, and lays line well. Bought several 1500 and 1000 size reel for myself and friends. I have spinning reels that cost $199 each, They may be smoother but you can buy 10 of the Daiwa 1500 for the same price. Highly recommended except for the few who like me fish 50 to 100 days per year and fish with passion.

Anti reverse broke, plastic parts i bet
Looks nice, feels nice but very poor construction. This reel has an anti-reverse feature. Its not designed with a forward and reverse lever... one direction only.. well, until the internal plastic gears breaks. Now my reel is unusable reeling all directions.
