I love making pies and these baking weights are one extra help to get the perfect pie shell. They come in a nice storage container. They are stupid easy to use and clean are made of durable material. I'm very pleased with these!

They worked fairly well, except they seem to get some kind of burn barks in parts of my ceramic coated cast-iron pan. They did wash off.

I didn’t even know pie weights existed until a new recipe I was making called for them. Amazon to the rescue. I read reviews of these weights and others and decided on these even though they weren’t the cheapest option. I love that the packing can also be used for storage and I don’t have to find something else to put them in. They worked beautifully and the lie was delicious!

First, one set doesn’t cut it. For a medium deep dish you need do sets, deep dish you’ll need six to fill it enough to hold the dough on the side in place Second, wash thoroughly and wash the container as they have ceramic dust. I used a salad spinner so I could easily lift them up. I gave a good rinse with warm water then soaked them in a soapy water and rinsed again. I did that three times. For drying them, unless you want to chase ceramic balls all over you house, I put a dish towel in a cookie sheet and it worked perfectly! No ceramic ball chasing!

Unfortunately, I only bought 1 box… which did not cover the bottom of a 9” pie dish?! So, I’m not exactly sure how i feel about your product. I would recommend you somehow making the directions, and cleaning for storing a part of the package inside. Rather than a band that gets removed to open and throw away!

These worked great, but DO NOT PUT THEM DIRECTLY ON THE PIE DOUGH otherwise they bake INTO the crust and are a nightmare to remove! (I’m really surprised they show photos of them directly on the dough, that’s why I did it.) But I’ve since learned to use foil in between and they work beautifully.

Great quality pie weights. However, quite expensive and delivery took ages. You will also need two boxes for a 12" inch pan. After I ordered this, I found cheaper and equally good quality weights at Lakeland.
