I've been using this cold brew carafe every week since I got it, and I love it! It's very easy to use, easy to clean, and it makes a great cold brew! I was a bit confused with the instructions at first, something like "fill the filter 5/6 full of coffee" or something like that. I just fill the whole straight part of the cylinder, and there are good videos online that show how to use this cold brew carafe. I find the carafe attractive, durable, and easy to clean. I love it!

Things I’ve learned using this very nice maker: Making a new batch: You really don’t want finely ground coffee grounds. I made that mistake the first time, just using what I had for hot coffee. I highly recommend measuring out your grounds to the recommended amount and use a measuring cup each time to add them. Eyeballing 5/6th full is proving very inconsistent 🤣. I have used room temp water and I’ve used cold water straight from the fridge because of laziness, I don’t notice a difference. I am really only drinking coffee out of necessity though, not to enjoy the taste so there might be others with a more sophisticated palate that feel differently. I use 4+ cups of water and and use a large measuring cup to pour it In. I go over the max line slightly after getting all of the water in and settled (basically as high as I can fill it to still be able to shut the lid without overflowing) and I pour about a cup in, stir with handle of tiny spoon, mash down with spoon part of the spoon (is there a name for that?), pour in another cup and repeat. It can take a couple of minutes to do as the water settles and you push the grounds back in. I go above the max line because even after doing all of this, there were batches that the water was below the max line because things have settled. I need as much coffee as I can get so this is works well. When I do this, I get 4 cups of cold brew, which is three days worth for me. I have let it brew for 12 hours, 18 hours, and 22 hours and like 22 the best. So when I’ve had my second (of 3) day’s cold brew I make a new batch to have ready for day 3 just to be safe. You never know when the kids or your anxiety will keep you up all night and you’ll need a little extra. One thing that will help to have: a tiny metal spoon. I use it to stir (with the handle) and then mash down the grounds after the water has been poured in. I have tried a plastic chop stick and it didn’t work well, I have also tried a butter knife and that was terrible. The tiny spoon works great!. Pouring for consumption: I use a reusable coffee filter to strain the brew out of this container because no matter how big your grounds are, there is a gunk that forms at the bottom that I don’t want to drink. So after it’s done brewing, I pour the entire container into a large measuring cup (the same one I use for the water) THROUGH the strainer, then pour 1 1/4 ish cups into three mason jars. Seal them up and put them in the fridge. You can adjust your portions however you’d like, I just found that 1 cup of cold brew wasn’t quiet enough. Mason jars are your best friend. You can pour your desired amount of cold brew per day directly in to them and refrigerate until you’re ready to drink. Add your water (I didn’t realize you had to do this before making my first batch, but I’ve learned I don’t like the 1:1 ratio as much, so I use 1 1/4 cup cold brew pre-measured in the jar and add 1/2 cup of water) directly into the mason jar and add milk/creamer (you don’t NEEED anything, I like 3 tbsp of creamer though because I don’t love coffee and I also don’t do milk/sugar, it’s not enough sugar for me 🤣), add an ice cube or two, and drink with a reusable straw from the mason jar.. The plastic tumblers are also a good option but I don’t like refrigerating them as much because the seal isn’t completely tight. I also prefer drinking out of glass. Now you could pour directly from the cold brew maker, but I want to filter mine and I can’t make a new batch if I’m storing the cold brew in there... so the timing didn’t work out the first couple of batches doing that. The only downside, I do wish it wasn’t glass. The amount of moving this thing that is required while making a new batch always makes me nervous. Especially when I have to sit it on the sink to pour out the grounds (although I am going to look for other uses of the grounds in my yard or something). It does have a rubber bottom grip that is removable but I’m clumsy and am just one bad night’s of sleep from knocking it over and it breaking. But it is very nice it is glass and dishwasher safe and very easy to clean by hand in a pinch. Overall I would highly recommend. This is a great cold brew maker. I do wish I had gotten a larger size one because it takes a lot of grounds and I only get 3 days worth of coffee. I think a larger size would only use marginally more grounds and would get 4-5 days worth but I can’t confirm. Happy brewing!

Made our first batch of cold brew with the overwear 1.5 L unit. Against manufacturers recommendations we used the coffee that we had, which was a fine grind coffee for drip brew & we followed the recommendation to reduce the brute time to 12 hours for fine ground coffee. It still made an excellent, low acid, absolutely delicious and flavor intense cold brew product! Background notes of sweetness demonstrate the quality of the Brew. I expected good results but not this good. The Ovalware system is meticulously engineered, easy to use (just follow the directions exactly), and is beautiful to look at. Glass is high quality, stopper and internal filter all very high quality. Highly recommended!

I love the product and use it daily. I'm on my second one as I accidentally broke the glass on my first one. I have had two issues with them. The first is minor but a bit annoying. Both of my silicone bottoms have been such light 'fit' to the glass that they often fall off while holding the picture. The second one actually affects usefulness. The spot welds that hold the strainer together fail. It holds the top of the strainer to the actual strainer. I had the original baskets fail on both that I purchased before the warranty was up. They were great about sending a replacement however. That replacement failed, so I used the replacement from my broken one. It how now failed too. This makes four out of four failures in the same way. Ovalware, please correct your spot welding process. They are not putting enough heat into it to make a decent bond. Either that or increase the number of spot welds on that joint. I love the product otherwise.

So far I absolutely love this product! I hope the construction holds up over time, meaning the seals. But as long as there are replacements I don't see how I wouldn't be using this for years to come! The coffee comes out absolutely amazing.

This was a gift for my father, its easy to set up and then walk away! hold a decent amount, a couple days worth, keep it in the fridge and forget about it, no leaks and easy to use and handle!

It's stylish, the right size (for me) and makes a nice cup of coffee. It allows a bit more sediment through than I'd like, but my grounds are likely too fine. I'll adjust that with my next coffee purchase.

I bought this for the cold brew. Results were OK at best. My wife didn't like having ultra fine grounds in her so I was going to send it back because I wanted something both of us could use and enjoy. But then I thought about trying tea instead, and its perfect for this. Note that we grind our own coffee. I have a fancy grinder that is highly recommended, but no matter what I'm going to still have powder sized grinds in it. I suppose if I filter them out first, it'd be fine but if I were going the extra step, I might as well just get a dual filter cold brew device (and I did). Also, frankly I'm surprised this has not broken yet given that The first most helpful review pointed out that there's was very fragile. Its definitely not thick glass, but it is stated to be borosilicate. I've brewed tea right on the stove. Boiled water in it as well. Also I just throw in cheap loose leaf tea for a bit of flavor. My wife, and sister-in-law love it for this. So, I kept it. I got the 1 Liter version and it fits perfectly the way that we have a refrigerator set up right now, and have no regrets. The whole thing is easy to clean, and dishwasher safe. When it breaks... I'll let you know. But most likely it's going to be our fault. It is glass after all, even if it is a higher quality glass. ----------- It BROKE. Hot water and cold glass probably did the trick. I wasn't there when it broke, but that's what my wife was doing - brewing tea. Fractured glass, which still holds water but now looks dangerous to use. It lasted a few months, which was more than I thought it would in this household.

Nice quality feel to it. Takes up a lot of room in the fridge, 1.5L is maybe a bit too large unless you have a double fridge as the base and height take up the equivalent or say 2 4pint milk cartons. Nice cold brewed coffee for the summer, cold brew is less acidic so a bit less bitter and "coffee" like making it good for iced latte and drinking cold etc. or meaning you do not need so much sugar to sweeten the taste compared to say a Costa and Starbucks that have lots of sugar in their cold selection

Great for cold brew coffee

I really enjoy cold brew coffee using this product (until I've use my time making a short video for my instagram story about it). It is perfect for summer! After 1 years of using, I've nothing to complain. The product for me has an excellent quality. The brew glass is very easy to wash (I wash with hand, never wash with machine). To brew the coffee is also easy and fast. For the taste, it really depend on how long brewing coffee, what type of coffee to use and the quality of water for brewing.

Love it, easy to clean and perfect size. Never knew coffee could be so easy.

Bought this as it appeared to be well priced & easy to use. Turns out it was actually both. Only downside is that store-bought pre-ground coffee beans is normally ground too fine for s cold brew filter, which allows some of the finer coffee particles to leech into the cold brew extracted liquid, leaving a layer of coffee 'soot' in the bottom of your cup. The easiest way around this is to buy your own coffee grinder & only do a medium grind on your beans.
