Mine has started becoming 'finicky'. maybe a dpi setting issue. how do you adjust (no instructions came with it)?

The button just behind the scroll wheel adjusts the DPI. The lowest setting is good for intricate mouse placement like when using a paint program. The highest setting zips the pointer across the screen with hardly any movement of the mouse. Also, the mouse doesn't always register clicks. Sometimes I have to click twice when I should only need to click once. Probably a driver issue (I have the latest driver installed), but it did the same thing with previous drivers. I think they did not put a lot of effort into making this mouse, hence the low price and poor quality. I do enjoy using the mouse because of it's shape. My hand does not grow tired after 2 hours of Civilization 6.

Is this mouse rubberized?

I'm not sure what you mean by "rubberized". The mouse is made of a hard, durable plastic. It does not feel rubberized. I also own a vertical ergonomic mouse made by Anker and it has a softer-touch feel than this mouse from Kensington. I don't know if the Anker is rubberized, but it is a different type of plastic that does not feel as hard as the Kensington.

How is the tracking on this mouse? Does it feel laggy or floaty like there's pointer acceleration? I'm comparing to good logitech mice

I've never had a Logitech mouse, but the tracking seems fine this Kensington.

Are the left and right mouse buttons easy to click? Do they require much finger pressure to activate or feel stiff?

They are very easy to click. I don’t notice the pressure at all.
