2007 f150 fx2. all resources say lower control arms must be replaced as ball joints cannot be removed. true? will this part work?

The lower ball joints can be replaced. Ball joint press is required. If you need to replace the UPPER ball joint, it is not removable and you must replace the entire upper control arm.

Installed these in december of 2016 and are already loose. how do i get replacements or refunded for these? going back to oem parts.

Is the ball joint internally loose or outwardly loose? Internally loose, then should be warranted. Outwardly, no because either installed wrong or oversized part and opened lower control arm larger. If so, then lower arm may need changed.

I installed this over the weekend the gress boot was just a tiny bit of rubber with big gap is this normal?

Yes it's normal. I had the same problem when I installed my new one. The old style had the boot, the new one does not. I called Moog to confirm.
