Perfect for schools
I live in the desert and it gets very hot and windy. I a teacher and I needed something that was easier than an umbrella. I use it for the carpool line daily. It is great quality and everyone has complimented me on it. Great shade, it’s not heavy and works well.

Just what I ordered
This product very much fit the description of something you can wear and keep your hands free and have shade or block the rain. Purchased for when I am flying a drone that is off in the distance to keep the sun/glare off the controller. Friends thought it was great and said "Oh we should get those for when we are filming long days because we don't want to attach an umbrella to the tripod." The one suggestion that I would make for future versions, would be to be able to pull it back more or easier to reveal more of the sky, as I said to keep an eye on a drone. The sunshade doesn't quite pull back as far as I'd like, and the straps that hold it back don't get the front part out of the way enough at times, so I have to lean. But overall it is great.

Kept me Dry Hands Free on a Long Walk
I bought this to keep me dry in the rain on my walk home from work. I am blind, so I always need to have one hand free to hold my white cane. Having to use the other hand to hold an umbrella means I have no hands to open doors, etc. I walked home in the heavy rain the other day, and it kept me and my backpack dry. I wasn't sure if wearing my work backpack on top of this contraption would be comfortable, but it was totally fine. First I put on my coat, then the umbrella, then my backpack. Closing it up wwhen you're done with it is just a little tricky. You have to simultaneously push an indented button on the side while pulling up on the lever, and you have to do this on both sides of the device. But once you get the hang of it, it's no problem. This will definitely be my go-to on days where the forecast calls for heavy rain and I know a raincoat's just not going to cut it.

Could be better but definitely nice!
If you can get over people guaking at you as if you are an alien, this is quite nice. I have been desperately looking for a hands free way of protecting my face from UV while also not touching my scalp. I do have some notes - A bit bulky. - The umbrella does not retract far enough over your face. It's nice if the sun is behind you or above you, but if it's Infront of you this thing offers zero protection. I wish the umbrella extended further over your face or had an option to.

Bounces around when walking
I bought this to keep the sun off of me while I walk. I usually walk around 12 miles a day— it can get hot in the Southern California sun. The umbrella piece bounced around a lot while I was walking. It was loud and felt like it would break. The bouncing meant that I was only fully covered from the sun some of the time. The wind would blow the cover off of me. While standing still, this thing was perfect. It gave me plenty of shade. This thing is great for watching your kids play sports or other spectator events. It is light weight and easy to use, but just don’t use it for anything requiring lots of movement.

Unsatisfied
I had a problem with the umbrella, it wouldn't close all the way. I wanted to contact the seller and their phone number does not work, they have not responded to dozens of emails, they have not responded to dozens of Facebook Messenger messages, nor any of the many posts I've left on their Facebook page. They included a tiny piece of paper with the product, which says to watch a video on their website about the product, but I cannot find the website and they do not give a link for that website on that piece of paper. They should also have supplied instructions with the product.

Residential Appraiser- Approved
I work as a residential appraiser in the southern U.S.. It rains ALOT. The sun bakes A LOT. This shade device does a very good job at protecting me from both! You wear it like a backpack and simply flip it up when u want to activate it. Then you press the unlock buttons on either side and it flips back. Allows me to be hands-free to operate my appraisal tools out in the elements. It can impede your vision around and above you a bit, but it’s easily overcome. The protection against rain is not perfect. You will still get a bit wet. I recommend wearing other rain gear to supplement.
