I am 70 and did not want a gas mower nor electric one. This works just fine. I get alittle workout also. But easy for me to push. No noise involved. And so far durable.

The manual lawn mower I bought before has been used for about three years, and it is also the brand of American lawn mower. Unfortunately, this lawn mower is a little dull recently, so I bought this sharpening tool. The effect is not very satisfactory, it seems to be a little sharp, but it is not very sharp. Personally, the effect is not very ideal, and the price is really expensive.

Amazoning stuff

Quickly sharpened the reels on my old rusty dull Scotts 20” reel mower with very little effort. I’m sure if I’d tried a bit harder the results would be even better. Sure beats hauling that thing to the local hardware store and leaving it with them for a week to basically do the same thing. I’d definitely try this if you have a reel lawnmower that you’re thinking of trashing because the blades are dull.

I was a little excited when I ordered this. A few minutes and I have sharp blades. I have a McLane reel mower. After a minute. I knew I was in trouble. I’m stubborn, so I tried 40 or 50 strokes. Didn’t do much. If I had enough time for a thousand it might work. The problem is the blades are hardened steel. Sorry it’s worth NO stars. But I had to give it one to submit. I feel like an idiot.

Bonne facture mais attention profondeur d'outil de 7mm. Ne marche pas sur ma tondeuse Gardena 300, les voiles maintenant les lames sont trop proches du bord. Ou alors il faudrait meuler pour reculer les voiles...

La mejor opción para afilar las cuchillas del tambor de podadora manual, usé el afilador en una podadora Crafstman 16" ya con 7 u 8 años de uso, antes de afilar las cuchillas se atoraban / enterraban en el pasto, ademas de que el corte quedaba muy disparejo; una vez afilada las cuchillas quedo como nueva, recomiendo que al momento de afilar se emplea algún tipo de lubricante (muy recomendable grasa de cerdo).
