araree Aero Flex for Galaxy Z Flip Case with Hinge Protection, Slim Protective Cover (PC) with Hinge Protector (TPU), Compatible with Galaxy Z Flip 5G (Black, Z Flip 6)

My Wife and I both have Samsung Galaxy Zflips (mine 5G, hers plain Zflip). After TONZ of researching, Vids, & written Reviews I narrowed down to 2 for overall best "Checker of the most Boxes". The Spigen Thin-Fit & this Araree AeroFlex. I bought her the Araree AeroFlex. and the Spigen for mine. After receiving and installing both and using them for 3 weeks,,,, I purchased myself an AeroFlex as well. Overall on all the Facets/Aspects: addition to Size/Form, ease of fold/unfold, coverage/Protection, Qi Charging, Aesthetics, Grippiness (proper mix of tactile feel and "anti-slip"), etc... The Araree AeroFlex clearly & factually outperforms and better satisfies. The Spigen Thin-Fit is a great Case but is inferior when compared on all points to the AeroFlex. BOTH allow the Zflip to fold absolutely Flat and "together" with no gapping or binding as some other cases do/will. Even in that regard. Addition to Size: Both very close with the Araree adding just a tad more to thickness (@ 3/32" at most) and same on Height & Width. Ease of Fold/Unfold: Same with only exception being on the Unfolding, the Araree usually/typically requires you to lightly place the Forefinger on the Hinge-Cover Piece to assist in guiding it to stow/slide into the Top Cover Cavity it stores in. This is not a "Pain" and actually becomes "natural" after a couple days and really isn't an issue at all as the Forefinger of the Hold-Hand is positioned there anyways for most when handling. *Given the Fact that the Araree AeroFlex provides Coverage/Protection for the Mid-Hinge that the Spigen does not, the previous is absolutely NO problem or pain at all for the additional Feature it provides. Coverage/Protection: Firstly, see previous point about addition of Hinge Protection giving the Araree a definite Plus. The Araree does have a little "scalloping" on the bottom Corners and Edge that the Spigen does not. Spigen does beat the AeroFlex on that. Cut-Outs for Zflip Buttons, Ports, Camera, Speakers, etc: BOTH Equal and are AWESOME in all the Matching of all of those. Qi/Wireless Charging: NO Issue with either Case on a variety of Samsung & AT&T Branded Chargers both Flat and "Stand-Style". Aesthetics: BOTH look equally "Good" and Symbiotic (like they "Belong") when installed and in place. Feel/Grip: the Araree AeroFlex is easily &quickly determined quite Superior in this regard to the Spigen. Spigen is better than No Case" or other hard plastic Covers but again; Hands-Down No-Brainer WIN for the Araree. IMO "Perfection" and ideal. Stays In Place: Both are great to stay on and in-place after installation and repeated/continuous useage. Nothiced the Spigen Thin-Fit did tend to "back-off" from tight & snug just a slight tad away from the hinge/open end of each "half-Case" after a few days and need a little "Snugging" every 4 days or so but that is to be expected for the "2 Half non-Conjoined Design" with nothing to hold them together across the open hinge area on the Thin-Fit. So, I suppose,,, That's not truly a Draw & is yet another "win" for the Araree due to the sheer Design and addition of the Hinge-Protecting joining & self-storing "Flap". Long-winded but wanted to share experiences and takes and as is same with ANY such Review/Opinion (although NO Bias, No Dog in either Hunt or Allegiance to either "Camp"); as Objective as humanly possible and worth exactly every Penny ya paid for it ;) Results & Judgement: No-Brainer Gold-Medal and Kudos for the Araree AeroFlex Case for Samsung Zflip applications. Spigen is a Great Case overall and definitely the Silver-Medal Winner of Zflip Case Competition (to be honest, Always been a Fan and long-time User/Owner of Spigen Case Products) and IF the Araree turns anyone off or just doesn't "flip ya switch",,, Give the Thin-Fit a Go and betcha be quite happy with it. P.s. Absolutely LOVE UAG Cases/Products (my usual Go-To 1st) but their Offerings for the Zflip are Bulky, Wonky, Operationally disappointing, and honestly "ugly" and displeasing to the Eyes.

This is a great case! It fits snuggly. I've been using it for over a month and it hasn't slipped off. It has a nice tell to it without being slippery. I paired it with a Supershieldz glass cover screen protector, which I think will work out better than a case with a built in protector. I wonder what will happen if I have to take the case of since it uses sticky tape, but will cross that bridge when it comes.

Looks: The color match to the original phone is phenomenal. I have the purple Flip and this case is the perfect lilac, not too purple you know? Function: Overall the case offers a decent protection and grip without adding too much weight or bulk. Installation is a breeze and you don't have to worry about adhesive residue. Practicality: Many users complain about the cutouts for the fingerprint reader and volume rocker, but I haven't had any issues. If you have larger fingers you may have a different experience. You've made it this far so here's the shortlist of cons after 4 days of light use, mostly in the home: 1) I already see discoloration. See photos. 2) There were 3 times when I was trying to open the phone the hinge protection flap buckle. This happens when the flap isn't aligned and won't slide into the bottom of the case. It's not a deal breaker, but 3 times in 4 days is more frequent than I'd like. Time will tell how this case holds up, likely the discoloration will continue to worse as I continue to use the case. EDIT: Adding one star for customer service. Seller reached out offering a full refund based on my experience with the case. I don't intend to accept as the discoloration is cosmetic and I do find the case serviceable, and better than most other options on the market. I still don't know why the flap sometimes fails to tuck in, it is quite annoying and I am not sure if it this undue pressure could affect the life of the hinge.

UPDATE: The other reviews mentioning the discoloration/dirt clinging to the material were correct, but it didn't bother me much. However, the case just started cracking and the color just started peeling off, 7 months after purchase. Still the best case I have tried and I am debating just getting the same one again! it's been less than a month but I've tried a few style of cases and this is my favorite by far. only downside is I wish I could adhere a popsocket to the material, but besides that I am super happy with it. looks great and the phone feels protected. there is a ridge keeping the screens from slapping when folded and you can place the outer screen facedown with a similar ridge of protection. color is cute and it is still a slim profile. it is the only case I have tried so far with hinge protection and I love that too!!

This case is amazing! Just dont make the same mistake i did and try to take it off to clean under the case :( its sticky and now my case doesnt stay on my phone since the adhesive is gone. But that is totally user error lol.

Galaxy Z Flip Case with Hinge Protection is a great case and I love the concept of the sliding hinge protection, however the fingerpint sensor is barely usable, and wholly unreliable with the case in place. The case thickness around the fingerprint sensors prevents clean contact with the sensor, making it unusable. I tried re-training my fingerprints with the case in place, but it was unreliable. Finally, I took a razor blade and shaved down the thickness around the case, and it works great, but that level of effort should be not needed in a well designed product.

Very worth buying. My Z Flip dropped out of my purse on the concrete kitchen floor of my parents' place. I was horrified & was sure the phone cracked somewhere, if not scratched. To my surprise my Z Flip was completely intact with not even a scratch. I even removed the cover to double check. Yes, still intact. Also, seller is very reasonable if you have any concerns. Highly recommend & would definitely repurchase if I ever need another one.

Love this cover

I was reading where some people were having an issue with the hinge protection! When I first installed the case, the hinge protector was binding when opening the phone. After assisting it by lightly touching the hinge strap while opening the phone, it doesn't bind, After opening and closing it about 5 times, it slides into place by itself with no binding. I have tested it by opening and closing the phone about 30 times in succession, with no issue or binding. It may bind once in a while, but for me it's not a deal breaker! I like it a lot, highly recommend this case, and the price is good too, compared to similar more expensive options.
