Folkmanis Chameleon Hand Puppet, Dark Green

This puppet came in the mail today and-- it is even cooler in person! The "skin" is shiny, though not scaly like some of the other reptiles in the Folkmanis line, and every little detail is beautifully rendered. From the little grabby feets, to the ridges and seams on the realistic head and body, to the classic chameleon eyes and tongue. This is a stellar puppet and very unique! On a whim this year I have decided to augment my loved ones presents with a special puppet that suits their interests, even though they weren't any of them looking for a puppet on their Santa lists, it just felt like these puppets would put the childlike "fun, surprise and wonder!" back into the season. This puppet is for my boyfriend who loves chameleons. He really wants a Jackson, but we haven't had the space for one yet. I saw this guy and figured it was perfect. I attach some horns to a headband and write a little note with a backstory claiming he is a real Jackson Chameleon "I swear!" and that he just needs a place to stay the night where it's warm. Choosing the puppets for the recipient, thinking of a story to go with it-- I think I may have more fun than the person getting the puppet! Though I hope not... but if anything it will be memorable. Note: please see the pictures I added for a close up of the face and a (blurry! sorry!) long shot which shows the puppet on my arm for a perspective of its size in relation to the human body. For reference I am 5'6" and this is what the chameleon puppet looks like on my arm! If you can see, the opening to control the puppet is in the mid-belly, up through into the head, where you can wiggle the eyes, open and close the mouth and manipulate his long stretchy tongue... This is so cool! It is very well made. The fabric is beautiful and sparkly. The controls for eyes make it look so real. I got it for my granddaughter and she loves it! She takes it everywhere she goes. It’s her new buddy.

This isn't a Karma Chameleon, but he's a comic Chameleon. He's a little sparkly like Liberace, but he doesn't play the piano. He can, however, hang from his tail. He can't change his color, but we've considered painting to our place will match him. Like all Folkmanis puppets, he's well constructed, sturdy and has personality. We love the tongue and the eyes. He looks like he can see the humor in almost every situation. He's not exactly a swinger, but he's hung around enough to hear some might interesting conversations. He's better than the fly on the wall, and he's probably eaten that fly on the wall. Burp!

This was a great toy for helping read bedtime stories! It’s been great & the quality of the puppet is super durable.

This puppet is very stunning looking to the naked eye. It doesn't photograph or video well because of the special material it's made of to look like a chameleon changing color. The material is shinny. Also, over time it looks like it will get little scrapes... it's hard to describe the material. Mine had a little scrape on it's right shoulder but it's hardly noticeable. I pretend it's a little scar. The other thing is the hole to put your hand in is smallish. I have smallish hands for a man and my hand barely fits in it.

This is a beautiful toy, well worth the cost. I will probably purchase it (or other type of animal puppet) again as a gift for other people’s kids in the future. On this specific puppet not only can you control the limbs, you are above to manipulate the eyes and tongue as well.

A well designed puppet, a bit small unfortunately for adult hands, but the kids sure loved it! As did the dogs as well! They were terrified!

何年も前から欲しかった品ですが、以前はもっと高かったように記憶しています。身体の色は昔は玉虫色だったように思いますが、このメタリックグリーンもなかなかです。目玉には内側に棒が取り付けられており、中で動かすとグリグリ動いて、見た人は一様にオオッ！とかギョッ！となります（笑）。舌は袋状になっていて引っ張ると伸びますが、実際のカメレオンの舌は身体の長さくらい伸びますから、もうちょっと長く伸びるように作ってあればもっといいと思います。手芸をしますが自分で作るには複雑そうで、この値段なら十分お買い得だと思います。

This is our second Folkmanis puppet, after being really happy with the quality of our first one this guy hasn't let us down. I bought it for my son who recently developed a "thing" for Chameleons... he has been begging for a pet Chamelon from us (and when that didn't work, his grandparents) for the past month and I was on the lookout for something a little less demanding to tickle the itch and this did the trick nicely. It's a little bit pricey as far as a stuffed animal goes, but being a puppet it's totally worth it. It's made extremely well, of a really cool iridescent fabric (which is NOT sequins, thankfully, I was somewhat worried it was going to end up being covered in sequins) which looks either silver or green depending on how the light hits it (that sort of covers the colour changing property of a chameleon), each of the eyes has a wooden rod attached to them which you can manipulate with your fingers inside to move the eyes independently, the mouth opens and closes (of course) and the coolest thing of all is that you can stick a finger into the tongue which is sort of like a little sock and make it dart in and out of the mouth. It's a good size to use for an adult but my 4 year old son can also operate the mouth and the tongue, so anybody can use it really and it's pretty easy to animate. I feel like it's not going to fall apart on us and will be around for years... so much better than a plain stuffed animal. We're definitely going to keep buying Folkmanis puppets.

Great puppet. Looks exactly like photo but was a little larger than expected. The material feels a little rough but it does catch the light nicely allowing the chameleon to look black or dazzling green. My 5 yr old nephew really enjoyed this gift.

Very detailed and well made product. Delighted that it does fit an adult. Speedy shipping. Very pleased.

She loves this puppet. It's cool looking, but quite difficult for a 5 year old to properly move the eyes and mouth. Regardless she will walk around the house and bite you, look out!!
