An 8-sided die determines whether players will answer a trivia question from the pack of cards or from a clip on the DVD—or pick up a Buzz card, which impacts your performance either positively (for example, sending you ahead a few spaces for successfully p a new series) or negatively (holding you back for bombing your American Idol tryout). Answering questions correctly lets players move on while incorrect responses force players to end their turn. For variety, the trivia cards offer 1,200 questions divided into three types of challenges where players identify an actor or show based on three provided clues; recall soundtracks, slogans, or catch phrases; or answer pop culture questions.
