An excellent entry-level spiralizer
I was inspired to get a spiralizer, and specifically this spiralizer, by Martha Rose Shulman's book "Spiralize this!". Inspired by that book, I got this spiralizer and also a Mueller Pro 4-blade crank spiralizer. With the Mueller, you turn a crank handle. With the Oxo you hold the veg in you hands and twist and push it into the spiralizer. The Oxo works like a Veg-ghetti (if you've ever tried one of those), but it does a better job, is easier to use, and is MUCH easier to clean. Compared to a crank spiralizer, the Oxo is a bit slow and tiring, but it works great for some vegs (especially softer vegs of odd shapes or sizes) where a crank spiralizer like the Mueller just won't work. So if you're into spiralizing things, it is good to have both types of spiralizer in your kitchen tool-kit. For an entry-level spiralizer (with the Mueller being the next step up), I give it high marks. It is inexpensive, compact, sturdy, and it is quick and easy to clean. And if you ever get a crank spiralizer, you will still want to keep it. It will still be the best tool for the job in some cases.

This is the spiralizer you'll actually use - it's "just right"
For ease of use, storage size, and not having to deal with a jigsaw puzzle of parts, this is the spiralizer you'll reach for and actually use. I started spiralizing veggies with one of those double-coned pencil sharpener-style gadgets a few years ago, but it was very limited and it broke a lot of my veggies without even spiralizing them. I then moved up to a fancy crank-style spiralizer with lots of parts and a catch basin, etc. It does a good job, but it's as much fun to get out of the cabinet as my food processer. I avoid it. This OXO, however, is just right. It makes me feel like Goldilocks, lol. I've used it with carrots, zucchini, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, and beets (wear food service gloves to avoid beet-stained hands) to make gorgeous and delicious veggie noodles. It's easy to use for large or small batches, and it cleans up quickly. I've been using the OXO single blade spiralizer for a year now, and the only downside is that it only makes one size of noodle. Just today, I thought "wouldn't it be great if it had interchangeable blades so I could make different cuts without greatly increasing the size or hassle-factor of the OXO." I looked on Amazon and - wow - was very pleased to see my wish had been granted. (If only it were always so easy, huh?) I'm ordering a three-blade model today! One last thing: the colorful blades, in addition to color-coding the blade type, make the OXO even more cheerful and fun to use - and they don't show stains the way the white plastic spiralizers do.

It’s convenient
I have a larger OXO spiralizer but it’s a pain to clean when you only need to spiralize one item so I bought this hand held version. It’s a bit of a workout to spiralize carrots but it works well for small quantities. NOT recommended if you have arthritis because it can be hard on the wrist. However, it does its job with some “elbow grease.”

Easy to use and easy to clean

Works well but is very hard to clean.
The spiralizer blade works well, but is extremely annoying to clean. Vegetable blades keep getting stuck in corners and need to be pried out using a needle or knife.

Great quality products
I LOVE OXO products!!! So far every OXO product ive purchased has been excellent and even though they are a tiny bit pricy I dont mind spending an extra couple of dollars because when I tell you their products are awesome I mean it! And this new addition was not an exception.

Compact and works.
I knew I wanted a spiralizer, but wasn't sure how often I would use it. We have narrow kitchen with very little counter space so I was worried that the countertop ones would be stored in cabinets and promptly forgotten. Because I've had good luck with other OXO products, I decided to go ahead and spend a little more on this handheld spiralizer than the other options. I do not regret that decision. Even with hand issues, I can use this (If I were frequently spiralizing more than one veggie at a time, I'd maybe consider the countertop version instead). I like that this has the three blades as it seems like different veggies do work a bit better when using the larger blade and others work better with the smaller blade, the ribbon option is just a bonus. Don't bother using the top gripping piece until your veggie is down low enough that it no longer feels safe to twist without it, it works much better that way. It also works best if cut the veggie pieces is a nice straight flat line. I tried to spiralize some bent pieces -- it kind of worked, but the noodles were breaking too easily. It's relatively easy to clean but I would recommend using a bottle brush, especially one that has a smaller attachment (the kind usually designed for cleaning nipples on baby bottles) as it's hard to get a regular brush in some of the little nooks and crannies.

Handy when combined with a quart Ball or Mason jar (not a wide mouth)
I purchased the OXO over other more expensive and larger type spiralizers because I wanted to "try" making zoodles (zucchini noodles) and did not want to spend a lot of money. I have a boneyard of unused special kitchen gadgets already. I used a quart canning jar (not the wide mouth size) to catch the noodles, and it was an excellent fit. This spiralizer requires the user to twist either the squash or in my case I found it easier to twist the canning jar. It is not difficult but probably takes a bit more time than a crank or electric model. It took me less than 5 minutes to spiralize two medium size zucchini. I would not recommend this tool for the larger end of season zucchinis. I think for a single person or a couple that does not eat zoodles every day, it is a perfect cost effective and space saving tool.

Holds up to the Oxo Good Grips reputation for ease of use and quality
We are glad we got the three blade kit. We needed a better spiralizer to help us with our keto diet menu and this one was demonstrated to us by a friend who only had the spaghetti blade. There are times when the stronger 'noodle' the linguini blade produces is desired. Plus the option of flat spirals is nice to have. The cutting edges are nice and sharp and work well on soft vegetables. We have not tried firm veggies yet. I will report back on that experience if it is not positive.
