I'm an 80 year old woman. I'm not as strong as a young man, but I can manage most things. I replaced the screen in a large double window because my cat had shredded the screen and made an escape route. There was enough screening material to fit both sides of the window. Maybe because of the thickness of the screen and the thicker spline, I found it difficult to get the spline into the groove. Not impossible, and I did manage, but it took a while, about an hour to do each side. I had to push all along the sides with a tool (a screwdriver would work) several times to make sure it was all the way in. But now it's done and is hanging in place. I've read that, because of the heavy screen, it would appear noticeably darker in the room. I can't say that I've experienced that. It isn't invisible but it's like any good quality screen, particularly one from decades ago. A 16 pound cat was sitting on the screen as I was installing it so I wasn't sure it was as taut as I'd like. I let one side sit overnight and then tightened it, and it's far smoother. People have mentioned the creases. I could see them but they were less pronounced the second day. But once I had the screen in place, the creases disappeared and it looks terrific. It's been in place now for about 6 weeks. My ginormous cat has clawed it, jumped on it, climbed it, and hung from it day after day with no damage at all to the screen. I did leave a half inch edge rather than cutting close to the spline because I didn't want the screen to pull away with a large cat hanging on it. I would definitely buy this again and again. The only caution is the effort it took to install due to the sturdiness of the fabric.

These pet proof screens are the best! Our cats used to pick and hang on our dining room window, leaving tiny holes and pick marks. After installing these new screens (which, by the way, is quite simple if you have a screening kit with the right tools), now the windows can be opened again without fear of bugs and mosquitos! Easy peasy to install and cut to size. They’ve held up well so far to both kids and pets - not a pick mark in sight from the kitties! Will buy again for other screens as we replace them over time. This kit was enough to replace four windows, we just had to be pretty precise with measuring to ensure enough extra when installing.

I used this screen material to replace a damaged old screen that was damaged from dog scratching and additional damage around the handle. The old screen material was 0.0120" thick and used a spline of 0.16" inside a 0.125" groove. This new screen material is 0.0300" thick and I ended up using a spline of 0.14" inside the same 0.125" groove. The screen material was shipped folded which lead to significant creases that, contrary to the included note/instructions, did not dissipate even after two days lying flat in direct sunlight. I read a review of a competing product which mentioned to throw the mesh into the dryer on low heat. Placing the mesh material in the dryer on low heat for 2 minutes drastically reduced the appearance of the creases. After installation, the creases are mostly not visible, but they can still be seen if you view the screen at a significant angle rather than 90 degrees. Overall, I am satisfied with the material. I suspect that it will last quite a long time and hold up to more abuse than the standard screen material.

I added the screen to the bottom half of my lanai to prevent the dog from scratching. I secured it with double sided Velcro tape. So far- very pleased with the result. The screen is tough and thick. It should be difficult for my dog to scratch through.

Looks just like regular screen at a glance. FEELS reinforced like advertised. I had to apply some pressure with my utility knife to cut away excess Location that I had rescreened had taken a beating from my dogs, ever since I replaced with this product haven’t seen even an inkling of wear in the 6 months it’s been installed In my photo it’s the door that I rescreened. I had a roughly 6” x 8” hole at the bottom previously

With floor to ceiling doors it is hard to find a product that doesn't required you to purchase six or more meters leaving you with plenty of wastage or needing to store it for three plus years. Great quality product, easy to and looks great installed.

Primero compré uno para probar su resistencia y es muy buena pues a pesar de que se cuelgan bastante los gatos quedan unas marcas muy ligeras, casi imperceptibles. Si son de color negro pero a mi parecer no obscurecen la vista ni de afuera hacia adentro y viceversa. Posteriormente compré 3 más y ahora todos los mosquiteros expuestos a los gatos son de este producto. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Our cat ripped our standard flyscreen to bits so I replaced the screen with this pet-proof one. So far it works. Cat still claws at the screen but it doesn’t rip or shred it. Stays strong.
