I a little light in the car when I am driving at night, but any white light destroys my night vision so a couple of these red LED's in the foot wells is really helpful. These are simple 2 wire connections and can be run in series with a single hot wire and a single ground. For these I started out with a 3/8 inch drill because I wanted to make sure I didn't go too big. I then just wallowed it out a few times to get the housing and wiring through with ease. Be careful where you drill and make sure that this light is not directed towards anyone. They are bright! When aimed at the dark carpet they are just about perfect, and give enough light to find your keys if you drop them. I had previously installed 2 other spot LED's in my trunk and used white lights for that. Much more light and a white color, making loading or searching for the spare tire tools easier. They have a lower power draw from your battery too.

I bought these to add to the skeleton I mounted to my radio control mower. I bought the 11mm red version, and am delighted with how they look. The pictures and video do not do these justice. They look far better in person! I was concerned about these getting too hot and melting the plastic, so I wired them (1 pair) in series with the voltmeter, (rather than in parallel) on a 14v circuit. This reduced the voltage (and heat) by 8v, and these are still plenty bright for my needs.

A little background. So, I launch my boat- a 17 ft I/O bowrider for a ride on the lake. In a few minutes, my feet start getting wet. That's odd, I think, isn't the water supposed to be outside the boat instead of inside? Turns out the drain plug, which was only finger tight, dropped out while on the trailer. The automatic bilge pump turned on, but I didn't know it. The indicator light is buried inside of a rocker switch, and in daylight you can't see that it is on. I decided to install brighter indicator lights on my dash, and boy are these bright. I picked the 11 mm size. You can see that they are on even in full sunshine. Also, they have a full 180 degree spread, so you don't have to be in just the right spot. I used three of these. A blue one for the ignition (I've been known to leave that on), a green one for the blower (yep, that one too) and a red one for the pump. If you look at the chart, it shows that the blue light has the lowest output. Nonsense, it is plenty bright. In the attached photo, the led in the center of the rocker switch is on. You wouldn't know it though. Compare its brightness with that of the lights next to it! I am very happy with these lamps. They even come with a good length of real tinned copper wire (not crappy aluminum) to make easy connections. I would buy again.

This is a great little LED and perfect sized for my application. I only wished the top ring/trim was a little thicker. I added this to my lawnmower so I could tell when the switch is in the ON position. If you have a Hustler mower you know why :) I had to use a 1/4" drill bit but I wished I had metric sized bits so I could have a more secured fit. 1/4" bit left the hole a little bit too big but it fits OK. I was scared I would over tighten the nuts and have it pop right thru the hole since the LED rim is extremely thin. Can easily be seen ON during the day (difficult to take a picture of to demonstrate).

I ordered the 6mm Red version of this light to install in my cars footwell and center storage compartment. It is the perfect brightness for the footwell, allowing me to see the floor (and anything that may have dropped onto it) without being noticeable while looking out the windshield at night. It is a little bright for the storage compartment, but not painfully so. The units themselves are sturdily built and easy to install if you know how auto electrical systems operate. When they were shipped to me the lights were lost in transit. The company didn't even hesitate and just sent a new package overnight. All in all, I think Oznium has secured my business for the foreseeable future.

Brightness is not diminished even when viewed from a side angle. Good replacement for a warning light that came with a tiny light bulb. I left this on all day in summer at 14.7 volts (nominal for a 12 volt system with the engine running); it got just a bit hot but suffered no damage. If installing in a plastic surface I would suggest using an aluminum washer to provide a bit of heat sink and should be no problem. Comes with a lot of wire but little stripped; strip carefully, the conductors are rather thin and close together.

I installed this on my tractor as an ignition light, so it switches on with the key. At the end of each cutting season, I shut off the fuel and run the tractor carb out of gas. I've forgotten to turn off the key the past few seasons, only to be greeted by a dead battery the following spring. This LED light should be a nice visual reminder, as it is nice and bright.

WEll I think I may have finally found a replacement for my third brake light Led's. I tried 4 other ( less cost ) companies and they all had the same result. They lasted a month and then got water intrusion. Some the lenses even fell off. Garbage. The Oznium cost more but they have omitted the lens and the led looks fully sealed. IP68 rating is submersible and they look like they would have no issue doing so. Also the Oznium have a thicker gauge wire going to the Led , making it easier to solder or group. The others had a wire that was similar to a size of a hair. I'm hoping these last. I will follow-up with an edit in the future.
