no need for programming
no need for programming! worked instantly with my onkyo AV receiver that i bought second hand with no remote. went to find this on amazon and was preparing myself on ways to program it. it was a bit strange though as it doesnt have a manual or packaging that goes with it so i must have received a returned second hand item. it works though so it's all good with me.

Good remote replacement
Good value for the money. Works fine with my TX-SR607 and TX-NR609 AV recievers. The button layout is a little different than the original remote, which is mildly annoying until you re-train yourself on where the correct buttons are

Bought it for an Onkyo TX SR608 home theater head unit. I tossed batteries in it, slid cover shut, and hit power button. Every button works perfect. Can't beat it

Didn't work with my Onkyo even though the model number was listed!
I double checked that my Onkyo model was supported before purchasing this remote control, but it simply didn't work and controlled nothing but the volume. I finally dug up the manual for my receiver and determined the proper remote model I needed, ordered that, and it worked fine. This one is going back...

Works out of the box. No programming required.
Bought this to replace my dying oem remote for my Onkyo TX-SR608. Just inserted 2 AA batteries and it worked right out of the box. No programming needed at all. All functions are working and could not be happier.
