Almost perfect
It's good stuff. Packaging has straight forward instructions. These meals are filling. I added three cups of uncooked rice to stretch them further. Not that there wasn't enough, i just wanted to make a two week kit last a month... and it did. So take that how you will.

my experience with 4 Patriots
Wow,so while I did not purchase my 4 Patriots products from Amazon,I have purchased them directly from their site(I receive monthly e-mails if there are any specials going on with them). I am surprised at some of the negative reviews about their products, but I my experience with them as a company has been very good. Not too long ago,I had a deal for a buy 1 and get 2 more of their 72 hour food kits(the one with the Aztec chili, drink mix,and lasagna among others). I personally think most of their food tastes pretty good, although the chili was a tad spicy for me. Everything else I have tried from them I have enjoyed. So I almost wonder if some of you just got a bad batch from them(it does happen,I have had products from other companies that came in a hammered box or the package contents within were torn, but again it does happen). I will continue to buy their products. Their customer servicie is good,so I would say to anyone that has had any issues with them? Just talk to them and they will get you taken care of. Their products are actually a bit better tasting,in my opinion, compared to some of the Emergency Essentials food items. Either way,get your food storage folks because you never know when you might need it. Here is to preparedness.

Not good food
I listen to Glenn beck, Dan bongino, all them. They all say this is good food. It's not. I cooked the Mac n cheese as instructed. It was awful. The cheese was gritty, the pasta was stale, and it took longer to cook. Don't waste your money. You can buy the same quality for half the price at ready wise or augason farms. If you want good food, go with peak. I actually took some Peak on a backpacking trip and it was surprisingly good. Bottom line, don't buy this garbage. They claim to stand for principles but their food is disgusting and they charge double for it.

Pouch of mac and cheese was open
1 of the packages of mac and cheese was open and the cheese powder was all over the inside of the box. So im sure this is no longer good to save.

Bad instructions, bad packaging.
Firstly, One of the pouches was broken when it arrived. The bottom of it was never crimped correctly at the fold. This was NOT a shipping issue, as the 4Patriots box came in another Amazon box that also included electronics. Nothing else was damaged, not even the boxes themselves, so this was a packaging issue at the factory. Really disappointed such a simple yet obvious error made it past quality control, and it seems this is a reoccurring issue based on other reviews. Really frustrating that I had to throw away a $12 pouch of food... and had to clean up the resulting food powder all over the rest of my order... But moving on, I decided to see how easy a meal was to prepare in my camper. I chose the Mac and Cheese since I had to two of them. Be forewarned, you need a fairly large pot. My normal camping pot was almost not big enough. Instructions: They're minimal at best, and I had to deviate from them completely. It says to add the pouch contents to boiling water, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Well after 10 minutes of simmering, I realized no progress was being made, so I turned the heat back up and brought the pot to a slow boil. the 20 minute mark came, and the macaroni wasn't even close to being done. I had to boil it for another 15 minutes to get the mac cooked correctly, and to get the sauce to thicken. Taste: I normally don't fuss about "Bad" food, but I was pretty disappointed. The macaroni was okay, but the flavoring left a lot to be desired... In fact, my first thought was "Even MREs taste better..." Would have been less fuss as well. Acceptable for a true emergency situation? Absolutely, if you have LOTS of water available to boil with. For camping? Ehhh... No. At least not the Mac and Cheese menu. But the previously mentioned packaging issue makes me feel like I can't trust this product to survive more than a year in a shelf, let alone the claimed 25 years. I tried to contact 4Patriots about the issue, but they've completely disabled the ability to start a return claim, so I can't even find a way to get a hold of them easily on Amazon. That should have been my first red flag to look elsewhere, plenty of other suppliers of food like this do allow returns. Conclusion? Next time I spend $70-$80 on Emergency rations, it'll be on a case of US MREs. Sorry guys. Lots of hype here, but not much quality.
