Mens Tough as Buck Heavyweight Flannel Shirt

When I ordered this flannel, I saw 3 different weights listed for it, 5.1oz, 6.5oz and 7.6oz. There is a HUGE difference between all of these weights, but decided to order it anyway. I'd say the weight is actually closest to 6.5oz. It is very warm, definitely shrinks (but what 100% cotton flannel doesn't?). It's not double brushed, this adds to it's durability. Don't expect a buttery soft fluffy flannel, it's meant for working, however it will soften up with wear and washing. It's a quality flannel that will stand up for years, and if you can catch a sale (which I luckily did), it's worth every penny.

Fit is perfect, feels like it'll take a beating but I wear these more casually. Just a great look, no smells, no wrinkles and solid colors. Hopefully here in the south east I can wear it more than a day or two in the cold.

I feel like flannel shirts have been being made with a softer, fluffier, more lightweight material in recent years; resembling something one would wear to bed rather than to the steel mill. This brand, however, harkens back to the flannels of my Northeast US working class ancestors. Heavy, stiff (in a good way), classic flannel shirts. My long hair and Devil may care attitude may have them rolling in their graves, but this flannel would make them proud. If you can comfortably afford Filson’s timeless offerings, I don’t know why you’re wasting your time looking at Cambodian made workwear on Amazon. But for the rest of us, these are it. (YMMV but I would personally recommend ordering a size up. My usual size fit, but I’ve returned to opt for one size up out of fear of shrinkage)

Flannel is great. Warm and comfortable. It's 100% cotton though and will shrink so order up a size. I did and it fits me perfect.

I'm 6' 185# and this shirt is slightly on the big side but perfect for me as I like a bit more sleeve length. Great quality shirt. I have several LW shirts. Love them all! RECOMMENDED!

I have mny types of flannels but this brand is by far my new favorite. They are extremely well made,and are heavy perfect for cooler weather. This is now my go to flannels from now on, the price isn't horrible but I still try to catch them on sale. In closing if you're looking for a nice solid built for comfort & durability this is the brand for you.

These are not heavy weight flannel. At best these are a light to medium weight flannel. The colors are nice and there didn’t appear to be any loose threads even after washing. The buttons aren’t as tight as they should be but maybe not a deal breaker for someone who never buttons up. The shrink factor is something to consider as they do shrink quite a lot but anyone familiar with 100% cotton that hasn’t been preshrunk won’t be surprised. In closing for this price point if you want a truly heavyweight flannel try five brother heavyweight flannel they are superior in every regard.

This is my favorite new flannel! I wear a 2x in carhartt size and I needed to send it back to exchange for a 3x. Shrinks a little at first wash. The 3x is definitely roomier in the gut and shoulders. I'm very broad shouldered and have a hard time finding shirts that fit well. The flannel is thick and really nice quality. This is how they used to make them.

Bought for my husband, who wears it often, so he likes it.

The fabric is not like any flannel I have ever worn. It is heavy and coarse but warm.
