It came with a filter when I ordered it, so no don't think so.

Does this product also reduce the amount of iron in the water? Just had my shower grout re-sealed and colored and want it to last, not to get rusty.

I don't have a iron problem but gave this to someone who does. They love it. No complaints. Claim they have to clean the shower less because of the filtering of water
