Sized to fit your hand and you get a great company along with your purchase.
Over the years, I've had my share of pruners. I finally have found, in this pruner, what I would consider the best of pruners. The key to have a successful experience with this pruner is to keep the blade sharp. I use a diamond paddle to stroke the blade and in seconds it is sharp again. The pruner, I believe, comes in three sizes, small, medium and large. I have big hands so the larger pruner was my choice and medium worked best for my wife. They fit your hand quite well and provide for good leverage when cutting a thick or difficult limb. These pruners are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. A good tool is a pleasure to use and this one makes hard work a little easier.

They seem like they will be a good set.
Update: 3-22-13. I used these all last summer and a little so far this year. I like them a lot. I don't see why I would need to buy a new pair any time soon, but would if the need arose. A great pair of shears! I bought these here on Amazon in December. Being winter in the northern hemisphere, I have all of my roses cut back and have not had occasion to use them much yet. I ordered them based on reviews here and elsewhere by "North Coast Gardening" and the commentary generated by the reviews. I have a rose garden of about 40 bushes and thought it worth the cost to have a pair of pruners that I enjoy using. Previously, I was using the Fiskars that the PO left in the garage. They were okay, but I wanted to upgrade b/c of the heavy use they will see and for my personal enjoyment. I bought some "Corona" pruners at Home Depot, but returned them after handling them and seeking info from online reviews. I think that they make some good tools, and kept the hedge shears. I may buy a pair of Corona loppers one day. But, as far as hand pruners go, I wanted something better than what they were offering (I did see some later at Fred Meyer that weren't in stock previously that I might consider as back ups, or for my wife. BP 3640) I like the angled cutting head. The head is angled both down and inward. This is supposed to be easier on your wrists and I think it will be. I like that everything is replaceable and I like the weight. I haven't used Felco's but, have handled them. I like the lighter weight of the Bahco's, and the angled head. Also, I wonder if the type of spring used on the Felco's would get gummed up with sap from heavy use. But, I haven't used them. I'll update this review in the spring after I have put them through their paces. FWIW, I am 6'2" and have medium sized hands for my height, though still on the larger side. I think that the medium sized PX-M2 should work fine for me considering the way that you hold this type of tool.

Needs frequent cleaning but works incredibly well
Get in the habit of cleaning them, I found Dawn Power wash foam works well then rinse/dry and lubricate through the hole in the pivot bolt with a little silicone spray. Mine needed the tension adjusted initially, a little too tight and any build up on the blades caused them to stick. Now for the good part, they are absolutely perfect when maintained and used correctly. There is no place on the blade that doesn't cut well or flex. Up to half inch on hard branches and 3/4 on soft ones. Minimal effort, clean cuts. Looking forward to pruning the grape orchard later in the winter and the roses. I have used Coronas for decades, these are a little more than twice the price worth it. I doubt they will be as durable as the Coronas since I found a pair someone had left over winter in the burn pile (think burning and rain for 4 months) Cleaned them, sharpened them on a stone, taped the handles and they work as well as the Coronas I bought as a replacement. Not a good choice if you regularly don't clean your tools before storage.

Good Quality. Difficult Packaging
My second pair. Good quality. Comfortable and cuts well, but could the manufacturer please not make the packaging so difficult. The heavy cardboard is partially under one of the parts and I cannot remove it all! Otherwise, I would have given them 5 stars.

Fantastic pruners
These have become my go to. The blade stays sharp, the handle is very confortable, the angle of the snips to handle is ergonomic af. The handles keeps dirt pretty darn well so its a bit tough to clean but I dont care about that personally. Cuts extremely nice! Highly Recommend!

Really Great quality
Cuts small branches & twigs easily and is very comfortable even when using them for an hour or more.

fits your hand like a glove
This is the most ergonomically designed pruner I ever used. It comes in different sizes. I have a small one for me -purchased many years ago (I have small hands). I still use it. I was very happy to find one for my husband in bigger size. I also remember that the company makes them for left and right handed people. Not sure if they still do. Local hardware stores do not sell this brand any longer. Love my Bahco pruners!!

Good, but not quite what I imagined
The pruners are fine as far as they go...They cut well, and the ergonimic shape is fine. That said, I was rather disappointed that the blade and the anvil started to oxidize (darken) immediately after their first use. It's a kind of dark stain that seems to embed itself in the steel and is hard (impossible?) to remove. By way of comparison, I've had Sears anvil pruners that were made in China that did not behave like this. Maybe over time, yes, but not right away. Also, I found the hard plastic handles a tad on the cheap side compared to other mid-upper level pruners with more cushioning. So overall, after lots of on-line research comparing reviews of Bahcos, Felcos, Coronas, ARS HP-VS8Z etc., I was a little let down by the overall quality of this product. Update September 4, 2016 It's been more than a year since I bought these pruners. Yes, they are comfortable in the hand, and I appreciate that the high-carbon steel blade and anvil provide advantages in terms of sharpness. What I find annoying and disappointing is that plant juice quickly starts to stick to this type of steel as you prune, and the pruner starts to stick -- that is, you have to give it a push to open the blade for the next cut. And as you work, you can feel the blade passing over the accumulated plant gum. I easily see the need to clean up and oil these pruners after a session. But having to do that during a pruning session is, in my opinion, asking too much. I just want to prune, without having to baby the pruners as I work. I'd easily trade a little less carbon in the steel (if that's the solution) for more ease of use. As-is, definitely would not buy again.

Excellent produit
Je suis paysagiste, j'ai utilisé un grand nombre de sécateurs notamment les ARS, je trouve ce bahco puissant et résistant. Il supporte bien le ré affutage. C'est un outil vraiment polyvalent. Je le recommande les yeux fermés

Forget Felco, these are by far the best professional secateurs available.
Sick and tired of Felco's strong hold on the professional secateur market, and tired of the boast that without Felco, you're not really a professional gardener anyway (despite 20 years at this game), I went against the tide and ordered these. Not as flashy to look at, not as expensive, yet highly recommended by professionals (after an intensive web hunt) and by far the most comfortable pair of secateurs I have ever used due to the slight turn in the body of the design. Further it is practically impossible for the sturdy spring to ping off and as difficult for the closing mechanism to be pushed on by mistake. Learn Felco. Cutting diameter is fabulous and blade terrifyingly sharp. An absolute joy. Worth considering, if you are a lass, or have 'average' sized hands, opt for the small size. I chose large, as I always have with other brands - and they are a bit big for me to be honest. (I am an average 5'6" female so would not class my hands as especially small). I didn't return, as I simply don't want to be separated from them. I ordered a pair of Bacho loppers after trying these. 5* product, if a slightly late delivery - though to be fair, they did get delivered on a Sunday which impressed me.

Professionelle Schere
