THE BLUES BROTHERS:
After the release of Jake Blues from prison, he and brother
Elwood go to visit the orphanage where they were raised by nuns.
They learn that the church stopped its support and will sell the
place unless the tax on the property is paid within 11 days.
The brothers decide to raise the money by putting their blues
band back together and staging a big gig. They may be on a
"mission from God" but they're making enemies everywhere they go.
BLUES BROTHERS 2000:
They're bad. They're bold. And they're back! Eighteen years
after the Blues Brothers' original "mission from God," Elwood
Blues (Dan Aykroyd) is out of prison and on a whole new mission -
to reassemble the band, restore family ties and set a wayward
orphan on the path to redemption.
Aykroyd is joined by John Goodman and together they create lots
of madness and musical mayhem in this action-packed comedy with
lots of Rhythm & Blues. Featuring appearances by Aretha Franklin,
B.B. King, James Brown, Erykah Badu, Eric Clapton, Blues
Traveler, Travis Tritt and more! Directed by John Landis.
FLETCH:
Fletch (Chase), is an investigative reporter who's constantly
changing his identity. While working on a drug expose, Fletch
attracts the attention of a strange businessman (Tim Matheson)
who wants to be killed so his wife will inherit more insurance.
The wily Fletch senses a scam, and soon he's up to his byline in
frame-ups, murder, police corruption and forbidden romance. It'll
be the story of the year, if he can stay alive to meet his
deadline!
FLETCH LIVES:
Chevy Chase returns to the screen as the reckless reporter I.M.
Fletcher, investigative reporter in Fletch Lives.
This time, the chameleon-like reporter ventures to Belle Isle, a
sprawling 80-acre Louisiana plantation which Fletch inherits from
his aunt.
