This product is 15 times stronger than a whitening strip and is liquid, rather than something that adheres to your teeth.

Which does this lift hair more than 40 volume?

Not sure exactly what you're asking. A 50 will lift more than 40. A 40 contains 12% peroxide and this contains probably 15%. I'd be EXTREMELY careful. This could do some serious damage. I don't even use 50 in my salon.

Which is more damaging bleaching hair or using 50 Volume?

1st- You need the developer for the bleach. The developer is what brings the color up faster. The difference in the volume is the higher the volume the faster the color will come up. It's like adding fuel to fire lol:) However, bleaching is not for everyone. Test you hair 1st because bleach is a chemical the developer is not!
