Mini Small Stereo Audio preamplifier, Headphone Amplifier, Gain 20dB Phono Turntable Phonograph preamp, Dual op amp NE5532 with RCA 3.5mm Input to RCA 3.5mm Output

I have a Yamaha MX88 synth that I play almost exclusively through headphones. I've always felt the maximum headphone volume, regardless of settings/tweaks, is not quite where I want it. I'm careful about my ears and I'm not looking to blast myself with volume. We have an acoustic piano in the house and I guess I'm looking for a similar sensation. I like the audio quality of the Yamaha's headphone output very much but Y-cabling the stereo line outs to a small amp and using its headphone jack colored the sound too much and was also too clunky for my small space. I wanted something small and this little preamp fits the bill. It's about 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" and simple - just a power button and volume control - and sits on top of the keyboard with enough mass in its metal case that I don't have to worry about the weight of the headphone wire moving it around. I use a short mini-male to mini-male cord with one end into a 1/4" (guitar plug) adaptor and the other into the Yamaha's headphone out. The other mini-male goes into the back mini jack of the preamp and my headphones (50 Ohms) go into the front mini jack. The preamp comes with a power supply that I add to the same power strip as the keyboard, so there no extra effort turning things on and off. There are no numbers on the preamp volume knob but setting it to about 11 o'clock gives me more boost than I would ever want with no detectable noise. It also lets me turn down and ride the synth's easier-to-reach master volume knob for plenty of headroom and fine tweaks while I'm playing. Exactly what I wanted - how often can you say that these days?

This is a variable power, 20 dB max pre-amp probably with 47 k-ohm input impedance and able to easily drive an amplifier impedance of 47 k-ohm. At full power it delivers very close to 20 dB of gain. It worked immediately out of the box with easy and obvious connections. The blue power-on LED is unnecessarily bright but other than that it's perfect with no noticeable distortion. I use it after a blue tooth receiver paired with a television to drive a stereo power amplifier.

Works great. Minus one star for yet another needlessly blinding blue LED in my life.

After testing new product: AtNeDcVh can confirm that it is built with very good quality. No hum, no noise, all connections: inputs and outputs worked as expected. Lots of functions, several options for inputs and outputs - well thought, well designed. Simple. Volume knob is small, useful, do not throwing to eyes, yet can be used without a problem. Volume even on 10 o'clock is giving adequate volume, again without any hum, noise and issues. Device is not slowing down pace of tracks, seems not changing speed of a playing track. It's not of course super expensive device, that exaggerating sound, and to my opinion is focusing on midrange giving pretty full sound range. Can produce trembles well, triangles and cymbals were pretty good, not as airy and copper like as with good tubes, but still very-very good. Bass and mid-bass were without any booming and presented all range very good. Black, silence was clear, good imaging and ending air was presentable. I tried it as a headphone amp, as preamp before and right after a turntable, in receiver in mid of tape monitor loop, boosting a tv and external speaker system to passive speakers with low sensitivity to a desirable level. Overall - very good and inexpensive product, which can be used on many occasions. On almost all situations volume at about 10-10:30 o'clock was good enough without changing much of the sound. To manufacturer I can advise a couple options: - Power supply cord is really-really short. I'd say too short to standard use. - Reduce the logo on top of the body by making it really small either on a side or on a front panel: there is no need-to-know exact model and it is bothering too much and aesthetically is not very good. - Hope, that designer team can play with other options, like: - adding tone controls (Bass, Tremble or even Mid); - along with tone controls adding an option to use 12ax7 tube. (or even replaceable tube inputs/holders to use various types of tubes, but there shall be better testing to make it without any hum and noise, making such option much better and reliable, then Bellari phono preamp as example.) I'd love to see those options, especially if price will be adequate. Again: AtNeDcVh Mini Small Stereo Audio preamplifier to me is very good and built well product.

Another reviewer wrote that a proper phono pre-amp is supposed to cut lows; I didn't know that but I'm glad it doesn't since I'm using it to boost line level for a subwoofer amp. I have this amp that is really nice, but apparently expecting a hotter signal from rack-mount audio gear not PC. It was useless out of the box. I initially solved the problem by routing it through an audio mixer which does +14 db. A few months later, that's conflicting with other projects so I finally got this as a dedicated solution. My hesitation was in part that my mixer was 40$ and the RCA input boost is almost like an additional feature thrown on. Doing just this one little thing for 25$... Well, if you need it you need it. What stood out with this unit was the +20db is more boost than most I looked at. That seems about right, it's a little stronger than my mixer, and no noise at all. So it checks the 2 boxes it needs to check. My only complaint is the blue led could be used as a search light and I have to turn it to the side. After looking at a lot of these, at the price point with 20db rating, I finally pulled the trigger; otherwise I could have just held out using my mixer. It also looks slick and matches other black gear.

Having to leave my home due to water damage, I needed a little more volume in the Hotel Room that I am stuck in for about 3 months. The TV has a much better picture than I had expected, the sound was way way too low.... However this preamp really works great. Well worth the cost. Power Supply/Adapter seems to work well. Much smaller unit than I would have ever expected or visualized. I think this will be a good Durable Unit, but if it only lasts until I get to return home, I will be happy with it. At this point, I have no complaints!

This premap (I bought two) does what I wanted it to do: it boosts the volume level from a smartphone output to match the volume level output from stereo components (such as CD Player or cassette deck) when connected to a stereo receiver/amplifier. Specifically, setting the ATNEDVCH volume knob to 3/4 of maximum matched the volume of lossless FLAC files played from my Galaxy smartphone, to the volume level of the CD player playing the source disc for said files. Sound quality is excellent even when playing at high volume through a stereo receiver/amplifier and large speakers. NOTE: This preamp does not have passive signal passthrough when it's off. It has to be switched on to have any sound output at all. I used extension cords to plug them into the "Switched" rear outlets of my receiver and amplifier. Some other preamp boosters on Amazon use USB power, which is more convenient than the power brick plug supplied with the ATNEDVCH, but the ATNEDVCH's power brick plug allows for more preamp boost output than the old Micro-USB connectors of those other preamps. It would, however, be possible to have the output level of the ATNEDVCH if USB-C and a 20-watt power brick were used. My main priority was to have the smartphone output at the same level as the other stereo components connected to my receiver and amplifier, and the ATNEDVCH works perfectly for this.

Took a weak earphone output from an electric piano and yielded a strong clean signal to my mini amp. Solved a problem at very low cost.

À l'inverse , en fin d'utilisation , éteindre tous les appareils branchés avant d'éteindre le mini ampli , et le débrancher du secteur . Cette démarche a pour but de protéger les appareils , surtout les enceintes qui vont émettre un clac des hauts - parleurs s'ils sont encore alimentés quand vous débranchez , risquant de les abîmer... Très bonne qualité de ce petit ampli intermédiaire , la puissance délivrée est excellente . Personnellement , j'écoute des CD depuis un lecteur , sur un ensemble home theater ( barre de son 40 watts + caisson de basses 40 watts = puissance délivrée 80 watts ). J'ai réglé le volume de mon home theater aux deux tiers , il me suffit seulement sur le petit ampli intermédiaire de tourner le bouton de volume à 07h00 pour une écoute disco convenable . il reste donc une très large plage de puissance , je pourrai aisément atteindre les 80 watts ... Je vais essayer de mettre une vidéo avec musique ! J'ai acheté de très bons câbles également chez AMAZON, la restitution sonore est extra . Basses bien présentes et aérées , médium et aigus très nets . Conclusion : Je recommande sans hésitation . Merci !

Hat einwandfrei funktioniert, betreibe den Verstärker an 12V im Wohnmobil um den Kopfhörerausgang zu verstärken. Brummt NICHT!

This little box isn't a phono preamp, it doesn't do RIAA equalisation. Amazon should tidy up the webpage and make things clear. It's a opamp in a metal box, not plastic and it has 10x 20dB gain which gives you the flexibility to adjust levels elsewhere to avoid noise and distortion with mismatched equipment. I love it!

Don't know why so hard to find a good economical pre amp on here for a keyboard instrument to go into a mixer... But this is the one! You might need trs to rca converter cables too but that's easy to find. Great product and no noise even on max setting, and great volume increase.
