Is it easy to read the value of the hot tub test strip?

The hot bath test strip detects seven indicators of a hot bath in just three easy steps.

My ph reading is brown which isn’t a colour on the chart. What does this mean?

When I dipped my strips, the readings wear nothing like the charts, so I gave up on them. Advice given to me was to get a handheld meter it may cost more but will last longer than a tube of strips. I know this is not what Easytest and the other strip manufacturers want to see, but it is what it is!

How to use this pool test strips?

Dip in the pool or spa water and then don’t shake the water off but wait a few seconds. Then match the test strip to the packet and it will show you where the chlorine levels need to be. If using a spa make sure you are using chlorine chemicals tested with a chlorine strip test or if you use bromine you need to buy different strip tests. Also, spa requires a higher level of chlorine, google it, but pool will show ‘okay’ on the test strip when it is at about the right colour. If colour is too dark you have too much of that chemical if too light you need more. If you are unfamiliar with chemicals I suggest getting a pool expert round first as they are dangerous and you can get very ill especially from hot tubs.

Does anyone else find the colours do not match? Chlorine is fine but the alkaline is so faint and PH is red neither a colour option?
